Writer of the “ATL Baller” Letter Speaks Out *UPDATE*

After posting a blind item that included a letter from a man who claims to have had a relationship with Falcons fullback, Ovie Mughelli, several of you questioned the “reveal” post, claiming that if the writer of the letter was going to “throw someone else under the bus,” then he should reveal his own identity as well.
I do feel that if a person writes into the website with the promise of anonymity, that agreement should be respected However, I understand that some of you wouldn’t be satisfied until he did show his face. I’m sure that even with the requested video, some of you will try to find some way to shoot it down and that’s okay. He was more than willing to oblige in spite of it all. Feel free to post your thoughts!

His revealing who is behind the letter does nothing to validate it in my eyes. I mean anyone can say they wrote the letter, that doesn't mean that whats in it is true. This is just an opinion, not knocking his or your efforts #JustSayin.
All in all, I believe him… even before this video.

His motives may be questionable, but he is not, nor is jia responsible for the repercussions of Ovie's actions. there was a way to handle this situation, and it was not by ending a relationship with an attempt at bribery. All chickens come home to roost, and this is just the wage of his deceptive sin. i know society is hard on gays, but it is time that DL men stop making black women the pawn and fall person for their inabilities to be whom and what they are. this is why I love an out gay man. Oh this story is very believable, but it still doesn't negate the fact that this writer is going on, what, 35 or 36 now? He's known Ovie since 2001, and he knew Ovie wasn't shit since they started fooling around. He KNEW Ovie played both sides of the fence. Yet HE'S the one that wouldn't let Ovie go. He was steady texting and trying to get back in while Ovie was trying to move on with his career. Hell, it may not have even been about Ovie being gay. Stalking ass. j/k about the last part. Since he was potentially ruining the career of a celebrity, he should let it be known who he was. It'd have been different if he was just venting and never named names. As a former football player (scholarship at major college) who is gay this story rings quite true to me. This guy at the least has ripped off his former lover who helped support him through college. That is sad and it is sad that it is still necessary for pro athletes to have to have lawyers put down stories that are likely true. I know many athletes who are gay so this is not unusual.

because the ones doing "what with whom" are not doing it safety or honestly. Thus their choices are affecting innocent people in the equation. If you like having sex with men and women, or whatever why can't you just be HONEST about the situation. At least to your partner,lover and ESPECIALLY if you have a wife.

This is obviously a situation were one wants to get revenge for getting played. And if this had been a woman then no one really would have cared. Regardless of how we feel about the situation, those two men engaged willingly in the relationship so if it turned out ugly who can dude really blame???? IT was his choice to remain and be apart of the madness and he has now made the CHOICE to seek revenge… that kind of decision will never ever work out for his good because his motives were on hurting the one who hurt him…its all just so sad…

True, but condoms aren't available in prison. So he could have contracted HIV in jail also. Everyone should just know your status and practice safer sex , Period!
