You can find Alicia Keys gracing the latest cover of Marie Claire UK, and the Girl on Fire songstress is looking as fabulous as ever. In the issue, which officially hit stands today, she dishes a bit on her relationship with Swizz Beatz, from the early days to the present.

On her first impression of Swizz:

Swizz will have the fastest car, the biggest jewellery, the loudest jacket; everything with him is really over the top. I used to see him and think, “He is so annoying”.

On what’s she learned from their marriage:

I think we’ve taught each other a lot,’ she says of her husband. ‘He’s taught me to live more fully and I think I’ve taught him to live more deeply.

On writing That’s When I Knew for her hubby:

That’s When I Knew is definitely an ode to my husband… Honestly I didn’t really like him that much. I thought he was too ostentatious.

Love & Hip Hop New York star, Winter Ramos, has been spilling tea left and right since she announced the release of her tell-all book, Game Over: My Love For Hip Hop. In the book, she opens up about her encounters with several different industry men including The Game, Jadakiss, Slim Thug, and Swizz Beatz. She even went so far as to blame her Spanish roots, and long hair for being the reason why so many men wanted her…

Winter recently stopped by Hot 97 to dish about her affair with producer, Swizz Beatz, during his marriage to first wife, Mashonda. Peter Rosenberg read an excerpt from her book where she opens up about their relationship, and how she continued to have an affair with the producer (he was also financing her at the time) for months despite having reservations about it.

On whether or not Mashonda knew what was going on, and how the affair came about:

I don’t know her… I wrote that in the book because I wanted people to understand that I made a lot of mistakes. And that, for me, was something that I feel like I absolutely should not have done. That’s where I say, I want a lot of young ladies who want to get into the industry to read this kind of stuff and understand. I was in a position where I was working for Cassidy at the time. And you know, you have the CEO, and I had known Swizz prior to working with Cassidy or whatever. So for me, it was just like, I was caught in a tough place. Like, do I say no to him? Do I not? Do I lose my job?

On his skills in the bedroom:

It hurt… physically… Whatever anybody wants to say, I might have slept with a lot of guys but that for me was… That’s not something I could have done on a regular basis.

With Girl On Fire set to be released in less than a week, maybe Alicia Keys should have just kept her mouth shut regarding the homewrecker accusations, and allowed them to just slowly fade away. Now, It looks like Miss Keys has re-opened that can of worms because Swizz’s ex, Mashonda, is responding to her claims in a recent interview with JET Magazine.

What has Mashonda been working on outside of singing?

I’ve been critiquing my writing skills, taking classes in New York City and traveling abroad to partake in writer workshops. I’ve also been doing some motivational speaking and talking to the youth about caring for themselves and preparing for their future. I do spend most of my time with my son, so I’m a full time mother. I just want to be clear that this interview isn’t about me promoting my projects and I don’t want to get caught up in speaking about the past. Talking to GlobalGrind about my present life is just more of a way for me to share my journey and where I am mentally today.

What was your initial reaction when you caught wind of Alicia’s JET Magazine interview?

Not much surprises me anymore when it comes to this situation. I truly thought that everyone’s priority was the well being of the children involved. I don’t see the sense in throwing oil on a fire, it just takes us back to point A. The Jet interview just added insult to injury. I can’t figure out how this makes us better. How is it a positive, humanitarian gesture? But artists must protect their reputation and I get that.

In the interview Alicia Keys says… ‘[They] were apart for some time before we ever got together…that doesn’t matter to those who take pleasure in trying to knock others down…there’s no need to fight what’s not true.’ Did you feel like this was a indirect stab at your open letter?

There have been many stabs and shots taken, thankfully they don’t bother me the way they used to. I’ve never lied about one thing involving the demise of my marriage. No, we were not “apart” or separated, and that’s just a fact that can be proven in many ways. Blessings have a way of disguising themselves. This situation has helped me to understand life and what really matters.

I’m not a big fan of Ludacris (all of his stuff sounds the same) and Swizz is another one that hasn’t really changed much about his sound since forever. I won’t be downloading this one (free or paid), but maybe it’s a song one of you can get into.

…a fan decided to speak their mind on Alicia Keys’ new sexy image.

She looks transformed why is it in every Rap/R&B artist career they change drastically… They go from Beyonce 2 Sasha Fierce, Eminen 2 Slim Shady and so on and so forth All I’m saying this ain’t the A Keys I remember – The illumaniti is deff at work here!! Smh.

Swizz Beatz didn’t hesitate with a response.
