With the new season of American Idol set to debut next week, it seems like focus has quickly shifted back to the on-set drama between new hosts, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

Last night, Entertainment Tonight’s Rocsi Diaz sat down with Mimi for a bit of an exclusive, asking the diva just how messy things got between the two.

I can’t even discuss those types of things. Here’s what I meant by messy moments. You just have to adapt, and I think my thing is, I have to be myself. And if that means in that moment I don’t hear you, I don’t see you, you don’t exist to me at this moment. That’s what it is.

Welp, there you have it. I swear I’ll be tuning in at least a few times this season just to catch all of the shade we already know Mariah will be throwing!

Rocsi 1 Rocsi Diaz Says Farewell to NY in PYNK Magazine

After leaving 106 & Park, Rocsi Diaz has relocated to Los Angeles for a new gig at Entertainment Tonight, and now the host is saying her goodbyes to New York (and BET) in a new photo shoot for PYNK Magazine.

In her sit-down with PYNK, Miss Diaz talks about everything from her career to her fashion sense, and even a little about her personal life.

You have moved on from BET. How do you feel?

I am very excited because BET was a great chapter in my life and I loved every minute of it, but I am looking forward to the next chapter.

Did you always want a career in entertainment?

No – not at all. Every little girl dreams about being an actress one day or something like that but I was the complete opposite. I wanted to be a whale trainer and swim with them and everything. It wasn’t until college that I became interested in entertainment and radio.

What can people expect from Rocsi in the future?

There are a lot of things going on, I am writing a script. I have the first one done and I am so excited.

How would you describe your style?

My style is casual chic, I like to pair jeans and t-shirts with amazing heels. If I am attending a special event, I like to keep it very lady-like.

Who’s your favorite shoe designer?

Christian Louboutin.

Where are your favorite places to shop?

I shop a lot at Intermix. Shopbop.com is one of my favorite online shopping sites.

Let’s talk about love and relationships. Do you think it is harder to date men in the industry or a regular guy?

Both have advantages and disadvantages. Some people want to date someone in the industry because that person will understand the day-to- day. Sometimes, you might want a regular guy because it will help maintain a certain sense of privacy. To each her own, really.

Do you think it’s hard to date when you’re a celebrity?

I think guys will be intimidated when you are in this industry. So for me it is very hard.

Since that whole Eddie Murphy thing didn’t work out It looks like former 106 & Park host, Rocsi Diaz, has landed herself a new job.

Earlier this fall, co-host, Terrence J, announced his new position with E! News, which left a lot of folks wondering what direction Rocsi would be taking after leaving the popular BET show. Well, we now have that answer. She has joined the staff of Entertainment Tonight, and you can catch her first assignment on this evening’s episode.

BET’s 106th & Park host, Rocsi Diaz, recently sat down with the New York Post to talk in-depth about her relationship with Eddie Murphy, leaving 106 & Park,and her acting career. It’s hard to believe Rocsi and Terrance J replaced Free & AJ almost seven years ago.

On how she met Eddie Murphy:

Terrence J and I were fortunate to have Eddie Murphy on the show for the first time BET ever had him on the network. He’s been in the entertainment business for over 30 years now so having him on the show for the first time, it was pretty amazing. It was a lot of fun too. They did this whole skit with ‘Coming To America’ dancers. They came out and had rose petals going down the stairs and I’ll never forget his face when the curtain came up and he was like, “what’s going on?” It was like the most confusing face he’s ever had. He’s a lot of fun.

In spite of photos to the contrary, she also says that she and Eddie are ‘just friends.’

She also spoke openly about her future plans after making the decision to leave the popular BET show.

Well, I’m still going out for other hosting opportunities as well. I think that in this day and age of Hollywood and entertainment you kind of have to be a multi hyphenate. I love radio, I love television, hosting, and acting is just a new chapter in my life. So is DJing as well. I think when you see people like Nick Cannon and Jamie Foxx, they just do so much that you have to be able to do other things as well. Acting is one of them. I just finished two films in the last year and I’ve totaled four already.[Acting is] one of those dreams that you never think that would become reality but I just did another movie with Lynn Whitfield and she’s amazing. It’s like I’m doing a movie with Lynn Whitfield, Oh my gosh this really can happen!

Rocsi4 Rocsi Shows of Bikini Bod While Hanging with Eddies Daughter

Rocsi Diaz happens to be quite resourceful. After announcing that she’s officially stepping down as one of the hosts of BET’s 106th & Park, pics began surfacing of her getting comfy and cozy with actor/comedian, Eddie Murphy.

Swag her out, people.

She was recently spotted hanging out with Eddie’s daughters in Hawaii while wearing a cute swimsuit! I can’t even knock her hustle, though. Her acting career definitely won’t be anything worth speaking about, so she might as well get in on the next best thing.

Eddie Murphy was spotted grabbing drinks and holding hands with 106th & Park’s, Rocsi Diaz.

Several months ago, Rocsi was spotted hanging out with Raphae Saadiq on Miami beach. Before that, she and LisaRaye were at odds over Michael Misick (LisaRaye’s ex-husband). Do I sense a pattern here?

Go ‘head and get you an older man, chile. Since acting is definitely not in her future (well, nothing beyond the straight to DVD stuff), she might as well date one. Live vicariously & such.
