I can admit that until I caught the first episode of Hollywood Exes, I never even realized R. Kelly had been married (well, with the exception of that whole Aaliyah thing). But yes, Mr. Trapped in the Closet was once hitched to Drea Kelly, the mother of his children.

Clearly the two are no longer together, and after joining one of VH1′s many reality hits, she’s now working on making a name for herself. Drea recently sat down with Hip Hollywood and dished about keeping her children out of the spotlight, her relationship with Kells, being back on the dating scene, and also revealed that she has a book in the works.

Life Under the Red Carpet: My Life As R. Kelly’s Wife is currently a work in progress, but don’t expect Drea to spill any juicy secrets. She insists it will not be a tell-all, but instead more of a self help book.

It’s not juice and grease. It’s not a tell-all, like, ‘Girl she about to tell it!’ No, it’s really a self help book for women. It’s really teaching women how to get back to the true essence of who you are. ‘Cause should all this go away, at the end of the day, who are you?

I mean that sounds uplifting and everything Drea, but damn it, we want the dirt! If she was penning a tell-all, what would you guys want her to include?

Yesterday, snippets of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music collabo, Cruel Summer, hit the web. The song, To the World, featuring R. Kelly, was a stand out to me. I dunno if it was because of the R’s vocals on the track, but I was definitely excited about hearing it.

The full track has officially hit the web (with Teyana Taylor making an appearance towards the end) and I have to say that Kanye didn’t disappoint. LOVE LOVE LOVE this song! What are your thoughts? Give it a listen and let me know what you think!

If you didn’t get a chance to listen to the snippets, you can check them out HERE (but I’m hearing that full album has leaked already).

I haven’t liked anything by R. Kelly since forever, so it’s no real surprise that I find this song to be a bit mediocre.

The self proclaimed pied piper of R&B teamed up with Ace Hood & DJ Khaled for a new track called It’s On.

The on, on, on, on part reminds me of something I’ve heard before. I won’t totally rule it out yet, but as I sit in this bed right now, it doesn’t move me.

What do you guys think?

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve loved anything that R. Kelly has released. It seems that once he found that Step in the Name of Love formula, he pretty much stuck to it and dragged that bitch into the ground.

Kellz recently shared some behind the scenes footage for his new song/video called Share My Love, and much like the tracks before it, I’on like it. Maybe this is an ode to Chicago sound or something but meh…it won’t get any of my iTunes coins.
