After recent sit-downs with the likes of Rihanna, 50 Cent, and the Kardashians, Oprah has landed the exclusive that she’s been hoping for. That’s right, it’s official…Beyoncé will appear on the popular Next Chapter this Saturday, February 16.

In case you missed it last night (like myself), LL Cool J sat down with Mother O for an episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter. The rapper turned actor talks about everything from his career to his abusive childhood, and witnessing his father shoot his mother and grandfather.

I guess it would leave you scarred. It was tough. You know what’s interesting, my mother forgave my father. He came back into my life and made amends for a lot of things, by helping to guide me. My father, made a massive blunder, but he also did a lot of things right. I learned to hand out the mercy, that I like to receive.

We don’t usually see too many intimate interviews with rapper/actor LL Cool J, but leave it to Oprah to change all of that. Mr. Smith sits down for the latest edition of Next Chapter, airing this Sunday on OWN.

During the episode, LL opens up about dealing with abuse as a child, his career, family, and that crazy home invader situation he encountered last year.

Last night’s airing of Oprah’s Next Chapter was interesting, to say the least. This chapter focused on R&B/pop megastar, Usher Raymond. During his sit down with the Queen, he talked openly about his marriage to Tameka Raymond, why he felt that it was necessary to have full custody of his children with her, and even touched on the affairs that took place while he was still married.

Usher is such a charming man, I tell ya. Throughout the interview, he spent the vast majority of his time tapdancing around answers, or avoiding the question all together. Mother O, however, wasn’t so easy on him, as she’d go back to reword whatever she asked the first time and was determined to get an answer. While I can’t speak for the masses, I can say that for ME, this interview didn’t make me view Usher in a favorable light. I absolutely LOVE this man’s music and will always love him as an entertainer. However, he just came across as a little arrogant to me, especially in the parts of the interview where he chose to sugar coat rather than give a freakin’ answer.

Actress & singer, Jennifer Hudson, sat down with Oprah last night for the latest installment of Next Chapter.

Taking place in Jennifer’s Chicago apartment, she talked openly about her newfound confidence since her weight loss, her four year long engagement to David Otunga, and the murder of her mother, brother, & nephew at the hands of William Balfour.

I’m not the biggest Jennifer Hudson fan, as I think that she does way more yelling than actual singing. However, this interview made me see her in a different light. She exuded warmth and courage as she talked about the tragic murders that took place years ago and seemed very comfortable throughout the interview.

I also found it interesting when Mother O asked her if she ever blamed Julia for the murders of their family members. I’ve always wondered if she ever had a moment where she said Well, if it wasn’t for you and your bad choices….

Meanwhile, no word on why Julia chose to wear that t-shirt and cutoffs.

Today we get the first look at Oprah’s intimate first interview with award winning actress/singer, Jennifer Hudson, since the conviction of her ex brother-in-law, William Balfour (the man who murdered members of her family). Oprah follows the case and sits down with Jennifer and her sister, Julia Hudson, to discuss their feelings on the conviction, her upcoming nuptials and more.

The interview took place at Jennifer’s Chicago home and will air Sunday, September 9th at 9pm on Oprah’s OWN network.
