During a recent interview with Power 95.3, President Barack Obama discussed Sasha & Maliah’s current loves in music, but also weighed in last week’s uproar when Nicki Minaj gave Mitt Romney a nod via Lil’ Wayne’s Dedication 4 mixtape.

Yea, I’m not sure that’s actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that says that. She likes to play different characters, so I dunno what’s going on there.

Although Nicki stans would disagree, I still believe the line was stupid, especially if she has absolutely no plans of voting republican….or isn’t even registered.

Nicki Minaj lends her rhymes to the Mercy track from Lil’ Wayne’s Dedication 4 mixtape (you can download it HERE), and seems to be offering up support to republican presidential candidate, Mitt Romney.

I’m a Republican, voting for Mitt Romey/ You lazy bitches is f-ckin’ up the economy…

I’m just going to leave this little gem right here. I usually stay away from discussions of politics and such because it’s always messy. So have at it with this discussion, guys.

Do you believe that Nicki Minaj was simply saying slick shit that’d breed controversy or are these her real thoughts?

Girl On Fire 500x500 New Music: Alicia Keys ft. Nicki Minaj, Girl on Fire (Inferno Version)

Alicia Keys is back on the scene, and giving you not just one, but three different versions of her new single, Girl on Fire. All three will officially drop digitally tomorrow, but today, you can check out the ‘Inferno’ version.

Alicia enlisted Nicki Minaj for this cut, and the femcee shines on two separate verses. Personally, I haven’t enjoyed much of anything from Nicki lately, but her flows on this track are a nice reminder that she can spit some quality rhymes when she wants to. (Oh, and get into the Gabby Douglas shout out in the opening verse!)

What do you guys think of the track? Are you excited to hear the other versions as well? Post your thoughts!

Get Low 500x280 New Video: Waka Flocka Flame ft. Nicki Minaj, Tyga & Flo Rida, Get Low

Waka Flocka officially dropped the video for his infectious single, Get Low, featuring Nicki Minaj, Tyga, and Flo Rida (although Mr. Rida doesn’t appear in the vid). There’s no deep concept for the clip, just a red and black theme throughout the visuals, and a dancer shaking her ass here and there.

erykahbadu Video: Erykah Badu Remixes Beez In The Trap & Throws Shade at Nicki Minaj?

Erykah Badu performed at the 2012 Afro Punk Festival in Brooklyn over the weekend. In the middle of singing one of her own tracks, Erykah started doing a remix of Nicki Minaj’s Beez In The Trap putting her own spin on the lyrics.

B*tch you don’t beez in no trap. This is what she should have said, ‘Cats ain’t shit cus they aint catchin nothin. Tryin’ to figure out how we gon’ catch these rodents. Cheese in the trap… cheese, cheese in the trap’.

NickiMinaj Iamyourleader 500x271 New Video: Nicki Minaj Feat. Rick Ross & Camron I Am Your Leader

Nicki Minaj must have taken a break from the designing of her first fragrance bottle (which explains it’s interesting design) to film the Colin Tilley directed visuals for her latest single, I Am Your Leader, featuring Rick Ross and Cam’ron.

I Am Your Leader is from her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded which is currently No. 6 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with 253,000 copies sold.

For some reason, Nicki Minaj in a straitjacket just doesn’t seem that out of the ordinary.

Onika lends her signature crazy to B.o.B. for his latest single, Out of My Mind. The Benny Boom-directed visuals center around Bobby Ray and Nicki in a psychiatric hospital, and at the very least, the concept meshes well with the lyrics.
