Although the premise of the show is the same, the episodes seem to get crazier each week!

Last night, we met Jasmine, a new mother and resident of Georgia who had been talking to a guy named Mike. Although the two only lived about 15 minutes from one another, she never met with him because as always, there was an excuse!

The show takes an interesting turn when Jasmine finally meets up with the person she’s been talking to for all this time. Watch the episode and GET YOUR LHIFE!!

Last night, the second episode of Catfish…a show that uncovers people who create a totally new ‘self’ for love.

The show followed Maryland native and stripper, Trina the Natural, who was dating a male dancer with arched eyebrows by the name of Scorpio. After talking with him for some time, Trina is ready to meet him and take it to the next level, only to find out that the guy on the other end was NOT at all who she expected him to be.

Check out the full episode and post your thoughts!

I meant to post about this show yesterday, but with everything I had going on PLUS an insane migraine, the internet was the last thing I was thinking about.

On Monday night, MTV debuted its new show, Catfish, based off the independent film of the same name. In short, the premise of the show is to ‘connect’ people who are involved in relationships with people from the internet but have never met.

In the first episode, we meet Sunny Cross. She’s been talking to a guy named Jamison (or RJ) King who is a model based out of Los Angeles. When the show’s creators (Neve and Max) agree to set up a first meeting, Sunny learns that not only is the person she’s been talking to this entire time not a model, but he is also a she.

How many of you have met people (for dating purposes or otherwise) from the ‘net, and they were NOTHING like you thought they’d be (i.e., used false pics, faking their entire life/identity)? Back when I was at UNC Chapel Hill, I met this guy online (I want to say it was via College Club? Can’t remember). Nonetheless, we chatted online for several weeks before we both agreed that it’d be a good time to meet. Dummy move #1 is that I told him to meet me at my dorm. I assumed I’d be safe because he couldn’t get in without a door card, and I’d be surrounded by other people in the dorm. Well, when this fool got to my dorm, he was definitely NOT the guy in the picture. To make matters worse, he was rocking a very dingy tshirt and even dingier shoes (call it a little vain, but I like those that I’m dating to at least be clean). When I questioned him about the guy in the picture, he told me that it was his cousin and since he “didn’t have a scanner,” he figured it’d be okay to use his cousin’s pic, since we look alike anyway.

The hell yall do….

Needless to say, we didn’t see or talk to one another after that. Post about your experiences in the comments. Definitely interested in hearing them and HOPE that it didn’t just happen to me!
