When it comes to Cassie, it’s pretty common to hear comments like, ‘She should just stick to modeling,’ and it’s clear that it truly is her forté.

Yes, she did just drop a new mixtape, but she’s also used her gorgeous looks to land a campaign with the fashion retail giant, Forever 21. Cassie will be used as the face for the Spring 2013 Forever LA Collection, which is inspired by vintage, urban styles, and littered with lots of abstract prints.

Cassie is hardly a surprising choice as she has the eclectic urban LA style (plus a super edgy undercut) and is clearly a fan of the high street brand as she wore a Forever 21 bomber jacket for her music video Numb. She may have recorded with the likes of Akon and Lil Wayne, but also has had a successful modelling career. She is signed with One Management and has modeled for Calvin Klein One, Adidas, Delia’s, ASOS Spring 2013 collection and had a commercial with Clean and Clear.

She’s already released numerous trailers and a few videos from the project, and today Cassie officially dropped her new mixtape, RockaByeBaby.

This time around, she enlists Taylor Gang MC, Wiz Khalifa, to spit a few bars on the track, while she cruises the streets of L.A. with her bff, Karrueche Tran.

When it comes to Cassie’s career, I’m usually the first to suggest she just stick to modeling and looking gorgeous; so much to my surprise, I’m loving this new track.

Cass grabbed femcees, Trina and Lola Monroe (who is growing on me more and more with every track I hear), to flow over Trinidad James’ All Gold Everything beat, and it’s definitely a banger! This cut will appear on Cassie’s upcoming Rock-A-Bye Baby mixtape, and if she stays in this lane for the project, I’ll definitely be giving it a download.

Outside of seeing her in random Instagram photos with Diddy and a feature in Nicki Minaj’s colorful video for The Boys, Cassie has remained pretty low key on the video making front. While randomly perusing the web (don’t ask me what I was searching for to even land on a Cassie video), I saw that she dropped a video for a song called End of the Line.

I can honestly say that I didn’t know what to expect before clicking play. Much to my surprise, however, the song wasn’t bad at all. She’s giving face while singing about a relationship that has reached its breaking point.

Not sure why the video was snatched from Youtube, but I thought it was cute and wanted to find a way to share!
