The Great Gatsby Beyonce Andre 3000 Miss Jia 500x229 Listen: Beyoncé & Andre 3000, Back to Black

A week or two ago, we got a snippet of the Beyoncé & Andre 3000 remake of Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black track, slated to be a part of the soundtrack for the upcoming movie, The Great Gatsby. And now, we’re getting a full listen.

If you can get through the constant shitty drops, you can actually get a full taste of what’s to come. To be perfectly honest, I liked the snippet much better. I’ll give it a second (and possibly third) listen before I completely write it off. Creative, yes, but eh….not much can touch the original. RIP Amy.

What do you guys think of the track?

PS: Can someone please tell East Village radio that ONE shout out would’ve been more than enough? Sheesh.

Beyonce Amy Winehouse Miss Jia 500x370 Beyoncé to Cover Amy Winehouses Back to Black

Beyoncé is ready to storm for 2013. According to E! Online, the singer will team up with Andre 3000 to cover the late Amy Winehouse’s, Back to Black, for the upcoming film, The Great Gatsby…and her hubby, Jay Z, will have his hands all over the production for the soundtrack.

Should there be a video for this one (which I HIGHLY doubt), we can only keep our fingers crossed and hope that we get a lil’ glimpse of Bey and Andre on the screen…together. You know how they did us with Party.

The movie is slated to make it’s debut at opening night of the Cannes Film Festival on May 15th.

What do you guys think of the collabo? Do you believe that Beyoncé will be able to pull it off?

T.I. Sorry 500x500 New Music: T.I. Feat. André 3000 Sorry

T.I. raps about his troubled past, and makes no apologies for the things he’s endured in his latest Jazze Pha-produced single, Sorry, from his forthcoming LP, Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head, due December 18th.

I’ve come all this way from zero. I ain’t got no reason to say sorry to anybody. It’s probably one of the most creative records I’ve done in a long time.

The track features singer/songwriter, Stacy Barthe, on the chorus, and a verse from André 3000 that Tip claims is the dopest 3000 verse outside of an OutKast album ever.

You be the judge. Listen below and post your thoughts!

Andre3000 2 500x322 PHOTOS: Andre 3000 as Jimi Hendrix

Andre 3000 was spotted on the set of All is by My Side, a biopic of the epic rocker/guitarist, Jimi Hendrix.

There have been whispers for years that Three Stacks would play the legend, but it wasn’t officially confirmed until a few weeks ago when it was reported by an Irish newspaper that the rapper was in Ireland preparing for the shoot. According to reports, Hendrix’ family has not authorized any music for the film so I’m not sure how that’s going to work.

What do you guys think of Andre playing Hendrix? Do you think that it was a great call? How do you think that the film will work if the Hendrix family doesn’t authorize music for the biopic? Post your thoughts.
