50 Cent traveled to the west coast to team up with Cali MC, Kendrick Lamar, for the visuals to his latest single, We Up. The track is set to be featured on his forthcoming album, Street King Immortal, due sometime this spring.

Earlier this morning, reports hit the web of Rick Ross being involved in a drive-by shooting/car crash. Of course there was quite the buzz on Twitter about the situation, and never one to hold his tongue, 50 Cent decided to post his thoughts, along with a pic of Ross’ vehicle.
It’s no secret that Curtis and Ricky do not get along too well, and 50 is a well-known shit stirrer…so I guess I’m not really surprised by this reaction. Personally, I don’t think anyone (well maybe with the exception of 50 Cent) would go through all the trouble and danger of staging a shooting, so I’m riding with Team Ross on this one.

I’d be lying if I said I had any real interest in 50 Cent’s music (at least not since Get Rich or Die Trying), but all of that aside, he’s managed to grow on me quite a bit this year.
First he showed his softer side during that sit-down with Oprah, and now he’s continued showing off his nice guy persona by giving back to the kids.
As part of Yahoo’s new Crash Concerts series, Fif recently gave a surprise mini-concert at the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club in Brooklyn. I swear, the looks on those kids faces when he hit the stage were absolutely priceless!

50 Cent took to Twitter last night sounding like a girlfriend scorned. He went from announcing that he was no longer apart of The Money Team (TMT) to attempting to sell his former boo, Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s, things for a dollar (Waiting To Exhale yard sale scene…).
We all saw this coming after 50 started to make moves with Mayweather’s boxing rival, Manny Pacquiao, and rumors started to swirl that 50 was secretly hooking up with Mayweather’s fiancé, Shantel.

Yesterday, former heavyweight boxing champ, Mike Tyson, made his official Broadway debut. (Yes I really said Broadway.) Tyson is starring in Undisputed Truth, a one-man show based on his career, and directed by the legendary Spike Lee. The controversial athlete had tons of support at the Longacre Theater opening, including the likes of Kanye West and 50 Cent. 50 even tweeted the above pic, saying:

Now I’m not here to review Mike’s show, or to discuss how he made it to Broadway in the first place (I’m honestly still pretty baffled about this whole thing). I originally heard that New Day was going to be Alicia Keys’ new single (or at least that’s what she claimed a month ago) but today the song was released as a 50 Cent track featuring Dr. Dre and Ms. Keys on the hook.
New Day was produced by Swizz Beatz, mixed by Eminem and is the first single from 50 Cent’s upcoming fifth solo album, Street King Immortal, due sometime in November.

With all the efforts that she puts into raising awareness for autism, you can only imagine that she didn’t find 50 Cent’s attempts at insulting one of his followers funny.
According to Mrs. Grapevine, one of 50′s 8million + followers sent him a tweet talking about the fact that he would not be releasing an album any time soon. 50 Cent then fired back by saying, I just saw your picture fool. You look autistic. He went on to say that he didn’t want special ed folks following him, prompting Holly to pen an open letter to the rapper.
Nonetheless, the rap bully appeared on Oprah’s Next Chapter last night where he talked openly about his past (including his mother), why he decided to be Oprah’s enemy (I felt if I couldn’t be your friend, I would at least be your enemy so we could coexist.), and what he hopes to leave as a part of his legacy. He even talked about naming his dog Oprah.
I have to tip my hat to Mother O; she managed to make someone ‘hated’ by so many seem like an extremely likable person. 50 Cent is actually an intelligent man, and I’m glad that we got the opportunity see this side of him.
