Sammie: Wetter
I see that Sammie has ripped a couple of chapters out of Trey Songz book, How to Steal Another Person’s Record & Make the Sh*t Your Own. Now, I personally don’t like Twista’s song, Wetter. It reminds me too much of a pimp/ho relationship…or incest. Nonetheless, I’m not feeling this track at all. Maybe it’s the forethought of the original version but what Sammie did here is an obvious rip of what has sort of ‘pushed’ Trey into a larger fanbase. I dunno…what do you guys think?

I like Sammie’s cover of Wetter. I see someone has matured a little. But I’d love to hear what Trey would do to it.

Jia im gonna disagree and kinda agree..I agree Sammie is heading into that remix a song and make it your own area, but Honey R. Kelly started that NOT Trey..Trey has picked up the torch but so have others..Its seems to be the thing for Male R&B singers nowadays.
I like what sammie did..it’s actually better than the song lol.

I really enjoyed his voice but I agree with you Jia about the lyrics.. I think most of the time no one can understand what the Twista is saying, so they caught up in the beat anyway.. LOL

I think because you’re a fan of Trey Songz that you’re not giving Sammie a chance. Most artists do this exact thing,It’s called mixtapes! People do them all the time..You can’t “rip” something that everyone does. If you don’t like it, you just don’t like it.

I never heard the original and really dont want to hear the original but Sammie can sing his azz off and im so feeling his remix songs. Hes being slept on as usual and Sammie is so underrated IMO.

First off, calling a man that wants to have sex “daddy” is nasty lol..i will never call my man that..i just think it’s wierd. Second, everytime i hear sammie’s name i just think of him as little kid singing “i like the way you look at me…” lmao..i guess the fact that he’s grown hasn’t hit me yet.

My little elementary school buddy is doin his damn thing! I actually do like it though, for real. A lot of artists do covers when they hear a song they like…most just don’t release it though.

Jia, I agree w/ you and not being able to imagine Sammie getting any females vag wet or wetter. But, I must admit that I do like his version slightly better. It’s the “daddy chorus” that freaks me out…Not sure if its stripper or incest material…lol!?

I do agree with most that trey songs would rip this song to shreds, he just has that appeal. but needless to say, sammie didnt do the cover in competition with trey (at least i hope not). It was good, and i like it better than the original too. Sammie better do that!
