Robin Thicke did his thing with this song. It has a grown folks sexy to it that can’t be denied. Many people who have heard the song accuse Thicke of “trying” to sing like Maxwell and for what? I love it! I do not think he "tries" to be like Maxwellm he is his own man. Both men are extremely talented and someone that I enjoy listening much more so than some of this other music and yes it is for the Grown and Sexy. He is one handsome man, Paul Patton is one blessed & happy wife. Congrats to them on their pregnancy, hope they have a healthy child we know it will be beautiful!

I never heard of the Maxwell comparison before, but I think their voices are so different that folks just say that cuz they hate on Thicke's "blue-eyed soul" style. whatever. I love me some Robin! He's another one of my White Chocolates! I can definitely say this video did it for me. I was on the fence with the song when I first heard it on this blog, but after seeing the video I'm ready to go buy the album!
As far as the whole Maxwell comparison, I never compared them before, but for a few seconds in this particular song I can say he did hit that high note like Maxwell and then ended it saying something about some wings. Honestly that's the ONLY comparison I see, and that's not even saying much! And ironically that thought came to me BEFORE I even read Jia's comments on it.
