nef2 Neffe Responds to Twitter Beef w/Kim Zolciak

A fight broke out a couple days ago between Kim Zolciak of Real Housewives of Atlanta fame & Neffe (umm…Keyshia Cole’s sister and star of Frankie & Neffe. Click HERE if you missed it). I updated the post shortly after as many of my Atlanta readers contacted me and stated that Neffe called into V-103 to say that it wasn’t her. She doesn’t have time for Twitter but she DID make time to blog in her defense:

What’s up GG,

I have been really excited for the past week or so about being a part of the blogging world, especially with a large community like globalgrind.com in an effort to connect with so many people and establish dialogue about a range of subjects from relationships to family to spirituality, so it really upsets me that my first entry has to be about something totally ridiculous. It was a rude awakening to start my day receiving phone calls about some so-called “twitter beef” I have going on with one of the Atlanta Housewives and one that I don’t even really know. First of all, this twitter account circulating with my name is NOT ME. I don’t even really twitter and I especially wouldn’t spend energy to post anyone’s personal information on a world-wide forum, for what? That serves no purpose to me. Secondly, I am raising a family and have too many daily responsibilities that take up too much of my valuable time t o be involving myself in some petty, childish foolishness.

And please know that I must be growing and changing because even though I am mad as hell that someone feels the need to misrepresent me in the most unnecessary way, I refuse to get involved in a catty battle with someone that I don’t even know. So to the haters, sorry to disappoint if you were expecting me to revert back to behaviors of the past, but I have too much joy in my life to have it be compromised by a false rumor. And with that said, I look forward to really getting deep into this blog and sharing experiences and asking you guys questions that will hopefully move us all in a more positive direction.

jacksonfamily1 Jackson Family POed at Funeral Coverage

Michael Jackson was finally laid to rest on Thursday, September 3rd after having passed away 70 days before. I did get a chance to catch some of the funeral and laughed at the reporters complaining of the funeral starting almost 2 hours past the 7pm start time. I felt like I had access to an inside joke. Nonetheless, Jackson’s family members are not pleased with the coverage of the funeral. A statement from Randy reads as follows:

“As a family, we are all aware of how Michael’s life, and his death, touched so many around the world. It is why we held a public memorial in my brother’s honor.

And it is the reason we chose to release a small amount of footage leading up to yesterday’s ceremony at Forest Lawn.

I was dismayed last night and again today at the coverage I saw on television of our ceremony for Michael. We had asked the media to respect the privacy and the sanctity of this event; to give us one moment of privacy to mourn as a family out of the public spotlight.

Unfortunately, despite a no-fly zone around Forest Lawn, many media organizations decided to ignore our wishes. They employed helicopters that not only surreptitiously recorded our private family ceremony, but also severely disrupted it.

I therefore ask today that media organizations airing helicopter footage of the ceremony we held for my brother immediately pull that footage from their air and refrain from airing it in the future.”

Unfortunately I missed the entire season of Diddy’s latest reality efforts, Making His Band. I heard some good things about it…many of you wrote to tell me that you felt as though you saw a more humble Diddy and that he shed a layer of ‘cocky’ that most didn’t think was impossible. So, it’s a slow news day! WOMP! Insomnia has me up watching old episodes of The Parent ‘Hood and I started wondering what happened to the girl that played CeCe Peterson. Fresh over at Crunk & Disorderly already found the chub-chub that was Nicholas (click HERE to check him out). And here’s his lil’ sis…all grow’ed up. She’s still a doll!

A couple days, we all witnessed the tragic antics of actress, Maia Campbell. In the video (click HERE for the reminder), we watch Maia go off on the camera man, while he basically taunted her for his own amusement. A couple minutes into her rant, an unknown male enters the driver side of the vehicle and tells her (in so many words) to shut up. Maia then tells the camera guy that she was going to get beat for her outburst but he would “be okay.” The video became damn near viral and sparked lots of questions, including “What can we do to help out of this crazy situation?” And this dude…I’m not going to go off in typical Jia fashion (and if I do, it will be televised for Youtube). Instead, I’ll let you guys offer commentary. H.A.M.

*UPDATE: Apparently the Twitter account under Neffe’s name does NOT belong to her. Readers have reported that Neffe called into V-103 on 8/4/09 and stated that the account does NOT belong to her and that she does not have time for Twitter.

You know that Twitter is the place to be for the afterhours drama, right? One of my followers retweeted a twit (Jesus be the vessel for new words) that Neffe posted giving out Kim Zolciak’s real number. For legal purposes, I won’t REPOST Kim’s number BUT I must ask…what the hell is a network vs network reality show beef? Really? Obviously, Kim fired back threatening legal action and blah blah blah. But to be perfectly honest with you, I think that I was a bit more disturbed by Kim’s publicist (Jonathan Jaxson) jumping in the mix and referring to Neffe as girl. Something about that made me feel some type-a way…
