Now Either R. Kelly Ain’t Sh*t…

…or he needs another piss trial so his lawyers and label heads have something else better to do.

A couple months back, I posted THIS VIDEO of Michael Jackson sitting in the car, KILLIN’ R. Kelly’s hit song, Ignition. Well, apparently Universal Music is going after MJ’s estate to the tune of $3k because he never paid for the rights to use it. Word? So we have to pay for songs that we sing in the car now? I swear I’m riding mute mouth from now on…

    wow chester…really?

  2. Miss Jia Says:

That's what the hell I said. Kellz has the ability to stop that shit if he wanted to by simply giving the label 3k on GP, JUST because its Mike. This is ridiculous!

  3. AboutABoy Says:

WTH!?? That shit is so BOGUS. R.KELLY and his label need to respect his legacy and leave shit alone. That is the craziest shit I've heard. WHO in their right mind would sue someone for the use of a song, when the person has NO personal/monetary or SUBSTANTIAL gain from it? It makes no sense at all!

*Side-Note* MJ looks really healthy, lively, and just fun to be around in that video. #RIP!

  4. @Iantuition Says:

Are you fucking KIDDING me? I hope all the MJ stans snatch his disgusting ass bald.

  5. @TyTyger Says:

I didn't really see Michael Jackson singing the song just mostly dancing R.Kelly need to sit himself down somewhere matter of fact anywhere. #greed

  6. AboutABoy Says:

And if they want to sue, why $3000??? If you want to sue, make it worth it! What is 3K gon' do for you Universal????

  7. Miss Jia Says:

True…I made sure I put that in the article.

HOWEVER…Kellz could change that, if he wanted to. $3k is a drop in the bucket for Kellz. On GP, I'd just pay it…just b/c it was MJ and we all know that MJ wasn't using it for selling purposes.

  8. Doc Jam Says:

Calm down sweetharts. That youtube clip was played on national television during a Michael Jackson special that aired while the king was still alive.

Anytime music is played on television, people are SUPPOSED to get paid for that. That $3,000 IS NOT going to hurt Michael Jackson's estate. MJ was part owner of the largest publishing company in the world. Yeah, Universal COULD let it slide…but at the end of the day, it's all BUSINESS.

  9. Miss Jia Says:

    Blah.

  10. JadeDior Says:

I think Kells is getting a bad rap for nothing…Universal is the one suing his estate…He has no control over what they do..He can't control their actions,he works or worked for them.

  11. Taya91_ Says:

Man Kells can fall off of all three mountains he is trying to climb up. Cause I'll be damned if I let my people go after MJ now that he is gone. Fluck that! I'd pay the damn money! Just leave Michael alone. Mike can never get a damn break. Salty m'fukas

  12. LadyS Says:

What I don't understand is is that if he was on his home movie, riding in the damn car dancing to his song, I never saw him sing it but whatever, they can sue? LOL I mean damn, I hate to be on yt singing a damn song and sony or universal's ass come after me. I got beef with SONY but I digress. I know its not R. Kelly's fault he wrote "You Are Not Alone" for Mike. Well if its the law I am sure the estate will pay up. Although I feel this is a petty creditor claim. I read this on tmz yesterday and I was like wtf. I'm passionate about Mike…

  13. @peejae Says:

How True is this? Who knows if this is factual? $3,000? really? I’m going to have to see some documentation.

  14. Arrielle Says:

Sit that shit down somewhere! Aint nobody checking for R. Kelly like that to pay 3000 dollars to sing his damn song. Straight bullshit. What is 3000 dollars going to do for them. They on some extra stuff.

  15. Manda Says:

Everybody want a piece of MJ pie. It is not even the 3k, it is the principle of the matter. Kellz could have easily made this all go away. SMH

  16. Qui Says:

Wow now that’s just really crazy.

  17. coa retained Says:

Kellz also wrote "cry" for MJ which is a beautiful song. As far as the lawsuit???? ..!.. universal. greedy bastards!

  18. laurese Says:

r u serious????? lmfao he barely sung thae song. gtfoh

  19. Allergic 2 b.s. Says:

    I second that Jia!

  20. Allergic 2 b.s. Says:

    *the blah part*

  21. Allergic 2 b.s. Says:

    THANK YOU….That's WTF I've been trying 2 say 4 the longest!…….

LEAVE MICHAEL THE F*CK ALONE ALREADY…….GOT DAYYYYMN!!!!!!!

  22. øØø~ρяέтту ώιήqs~øØø Says:

Wow, thats dumb. People will do anything to get money out of someone.

  23. DANJ! Says:

Ayo… Universal better get the FUKK outta here with that… seriously.

I understand business and ey'thing, but there's a better way to go about this than just whippin' out lawsuits and shit.

    -D!

  24. ashlee Says:

OK. I just heard Jawn Murray on Tom Joyner. He said that he went to an R Kelly concert and R Kelly played that video at the concert! I wonder if he had permission to use it? If not, MJ's estate can sue the shit out of R Kelly. He needs to call off his people…

  25. nubianlegalmind Says:

This is TYPICAL JIVE RECORDS BULLSHIT! This is why that label has lost so many of their artists because they stay on BULLSHIT! For the life of me, Kells needs to leave Jive, and I heard he was going to pay the $3K. But for the label to even put a suit out there is insulting as hell. Jive can KISS MY ASS! I will NEVER support them again.

  26. Allergic 2 b.s. Says:

I just simply CANNOT even FATHOM how RE (f*cking) DICULOUS this bullsh*t of a lawsuit sounds. I guess it's (unfortunately) true….These MJ terrorists are ACTUALLY going 2 torture this man….Not til HIS death, but THEIR'S *smmfh.*

Boy I tell ya….The crazy, off the wall type of B.S. I be hearing these days…….

I said it b4, & I'll say it again….2012 might not be fiction after all….It's coming soon.

  27. Shaneice Says:

this wouldn't have happened if it wasn't leaked on youtube. simply because you see how they're the instigators for copyright infringement claims. now we got this simple muthafukka going after the king of pop for jamming to this pedophile's lame ass song. ok it's not lame, but shiit tho. he should feel honored. i tell ya, you can't give black folkz nothing without them getting all bitch made. [i didn't mean that as racial, but come on..most of you can agree even tho some won't.]

  28. vegas Says:

Its definetely not R Kelly that is initiating this entire thing , music labels have people and dept.'s that this is what they do. R. Kelly played this clip at his concert in Vegas a couple of months ago and he was so excited. The crowd lost their minds when he played this clip, so it is sad the universal took something so exciting and special for R. Kelly and MJ fans and made it about the $$$.

  29. vegas Says:

actually now that I think about it maybe that's why they are suing because he showed the clip to a paying audience on tour, IDK!

  30. @LilMissStrange Says:

Tell me you are lying!!! Thats some mess to the 10th power!

They need to sit down somewhere and pray…..

  31. Attorneymom Says:

I am done. I use to be a Attorney in the Royalties department for BMG (now Sony BMG) and I am sure that Universal have recouped their advancements on the album on which this song appeared. Give me a break.

  32. Kukojin Says:

Screw R.Kelly. I can say that 10 million times and it won't be enough. Friggin' Pedophile…
Can't people leave MJ the hell alone already?
