Michael Jackson: The Way He SHOULD Be Remembered
I posted an entry on my personal blog regarding the media and how they are making the choice to sling mud at Michael Jackson, even in death. I was watching On the Record with Greta Van Susteren of Fox News (rolls eyes) and I was amazed at how she only referred to Michael as a drug addict, never once mentioning him by his name. I can accept the fact that he may have been at a place in his life where he felt out of sorts and that he may have been an abuser. What I can’t accept is how quickly other bodies of media are so quick to throw him under the bus but let ONE person mention that Elvis was even in the same room as some drugs & all hell breaks loose.
I am not trying to cast Michael in this perfect light, as I am sure that he was no angel and much like many of us, struggled with things within that are sometimes hard to deal with. Does that mean that we have to work overtime and a half to disrespect him and his legacy at every turn? Does his own troubled life trump all of the greatness he bestowed upon the world through his dancing and musical flare? Somebody fill me in…because if we’re simply allowing someone’s problem/mistake that ultimately cost a person their life to overshadow the positive influence that they brought to the entertainment world, then we’ve got a long way to go. Seriously…

yess I feel you on that I would rather remember him just like this picture he was soooo much more than what the media is putting out there, he is human just like any of us…even a co-worker made a response in regards to MJ saying “I refuse to be sad for a child molester, who passed away” I clearly wanted to slap him but I had to remember a lot of people don’t have jobs right now and I didn’t want to be one of them! I totally agree. Why pile up all this negativity now. She wasn’t crusading for his demise when he was alive. She is a buzzard, capitalizing off of this coverage like most of the media.

I mean but what do you expect coming from FOX, the media refuses to tell the story of how the boy[the one who drunk jesus juice] said his father told him to lie and that Michael never touched him. People deem him as weird and want to blame him for having this child like behavior but I’m sure plenty of them seen “Jackson 5: An American Dream” Michael didn’t have a childhood blame Joe ole ‘Mack The Night’ chin having ass!

i wana add to that jia..that not only was ELVIS HOOKED ON DRUGS..that shit was MORE than obvious out in PUBLIC day by day..concert after concert until his passing..it went on for YEARS.. meantime..with this LEGEND that is MICHAEL JACKSON..we all knew he had some sort od Demon chasing him [painkillers]..BUT he didnt look like a hookie unlike ELVIS..all these WHITE networks.. WHITE “entertainment reporters” need to quit pointing fingers..cuz they sure have alota ppl on that boat..show more respect and recognize who the fuck MICHAEL JACKSON still is bitches!!!!!..

Now that pic with him tipping the hat to the side holding his waste now that pic is sick!!! I love it and I love him. I’m just really glad that finally he can rest in piece through all the harsh words he had to live through. Some of his fans didnt have to decency to even stick by his side when that issh went down about them two kids. I honestly hate knowing that even though he was loved he never felt loved and that’s what hurts the most to me.

I would love to see you as a guest on Nancy Grace or Greta’s show. I mean the other day Nancy kept saying how the kids shouldn’t be raised by a 79 year old grandma, well fuck when her ass had twins I’m sure people were saying the same thing about her. Hell she ain’t no spring chicken her damn self.
You have to remember OJ Simpson and Michael Jackson put more money in these lawyers pockets to become the tv personalities they are today. Fuck them! But I would love to see someone like you on their shows going off! Now that would be entertaining.

You know that that network’s line-up is NOT for US (and by US, you know exactly who I’m referencing). I’ve had co-workers bemoan the constant news-coverage, but it’s been 32 years since Elvis kicked the bucket, and they aint quite over him yet. I’m sure Greta has Elvis’ albums lining the walls of her cave, and that “drug addict” imbibed himself w/so many drugs that the muscles of his rectum contracted such to the point that he couldn’t rid himself of excrement. He was so fucked up that he died trying to take a shit. The “King” died on the throne. Fuck Greta, and all of the other parasitic, sub-human pieces of shit media who are only trying to highlight the demons that this very gifted man suffered from.

These pictures are amazing. The media does whatever they can to get views and attention. They dont care about all of his accomplishments. They dont care about how positive his music was and how he bridged the gaps between races. Nope,let’s all focus on how he swallowed a couple of pills. News flash, almost every celeb abuses drugs. They do! The fame gets to them. They cant deal with it like we would b/c well, we dont know how we’d deal with it. We’re not in their position. It’s not our place to say what he was or wasnt. We know that he was a great man who deserves the respect of everyone. He’s done a lot for music and for people (especially children) in general. In the end tho, he was still a black man…no matter how white his skin was, and they’ll never let him forget that.

Damn. And I was clowning him a bit a couple of weeks ago-but his classics always mad my no-dancing azz move still! I am still in shock that he is gone. Whatever happened is irrelevant…a good part of me will miss Michael Jackson. RIP, Mike. You were and still are a diamond in the rough.

About all those LIES, if y’all do research into it you’ll know NOBODY told a straight story and he would never harm anyone, much less a child.

See the thing is I stopped watching media reports a day after his death. I could see it happening before my eyes, this hatred towards an Icon of the entire world. It made me sick and mad, and sense i didnt want to be mad every day i just stuck to reading from black blogs the real deal… All i know is that this taught me a really good lesson about media, no matter what you do there will always be those who will concentrate on the negative so do you.

I agree with you so much on Your cmmt about Elvis & if Mike was a White Celeb that saw tha same fate “They” wouldn’t dare speak tha same against Him take Heath Leder 4 instance, U get were I’m going w/ this? I cannot even listen 2 Tha “STORIES” about MJJ after His passing Because being a True MJJ fan ( i got His Thriller Album 4 My 8th bday) I woulda been on a Plane 2 Hollyweird & ended up in jail 4 MURDER of some of these so called Newscaster’s LOL..
