That boy Trey Songz has such a unique voice, and for Mario to even come at him like that seems salty to me.

i don’t think it was cool fa mario to say that he could “shut down a lotta artists vocally…” yess, mario does have an AMAZING voice, & he was & still is one of my favorite R&B artists… but fa him to say that was just down-right disrespectful. saying that makes him sound like he thinks he’s the best artist out there… & saying that he & trey songz are in no way comparable almost sounds like he’s saying that trey songz could never be on his “level”.
trey songz has a sound all his own… as should every artist… & i feel like in a few years, he could accomplish everything that mario did in the *counts* what… however many years he was in the business. fa mario to say “he made the single ‘i need a girl’ … i did that two years ago.” i was wrong, because if you haven’t noticed… a lotta artists have songs about the same thing. love, sex, money, cars, women, heart ache, etc… the majority of the music that’s out there right now is about the same shit.
mario just needs to sit down & stop speaking now.

IMO, out of the young male singers Mario and Sammie can sing the best. I didnt take the interview as what you took if for about him providing excuses. Trey Songz is good and I enjoy some of his music but hes better at doing other people song over IMO. Something is missing with Trey IMO, his last cd was ok, all of the songs that was released was good but its just still something missing IMO. Just like the song he have out now, it was originally sung by Johnta Austin and I love Johnta singing the song better. Not to take away from Trey but I didnt get nothing from Trey singing the song. Im a fan of both so its all good.

I just tried to post so I could give a males perspective and it didn’t go through. Damn. I am not writing that over again. I put a lot of thought into it too.
Anyways, I understand where you are coming from. I just think you are looking too deep. Remember, it’s a guy who is being inteviewed. We aren’t thinking that deep. He is being inteviewed by a female. Kimberly Walker. I think her head is in the wrong place. Meaning looking for controversy. But she is doing her job.

I agree with Mario’s comment. I think vocally he can blow a lot of artists out of the water, HOWEVER, I think TODAY in music, Trey Songz is HANDS DOWN the best artist vocally, and he’s so underrated.

I know I'm MAJOR late responding to this video but anyway…I feel like why should Mario continue to keep adding fuel to the fire when the first thing he said was that he heard the song and did not find no lyrics disrepecting him. Like I don't understand why he would go on to say that Trey covers songs he wish were his. I don't think that's the case, Trey remakes the song because he feels he can do it better. And if Mario is so GREAT at singing why don't he really SANG!!! If your label is shitty and they want you to sing certain songs that doesn't stop you from really SANGING that song. Mario was just mad cause SONGZ ripped his song. LOL!!!
