Claudette Ortiz Speaks Out About Intervention

Umm-mmm…When Robby Pardlo’s episode of Intervention aired (click HERE if you missed it), I knew it was only a matter of time before either Ryan Toby or Claudette Ortiz spoke out about it. She Is… sat down with Claudette to ask her a couple questions about her thoughts on the ‘view. Lawd….

On what her relationship was like with Robby:
It was an abusive one. He portrayed it like it was a “lovely romance” & it wasn’t. I just want to move on & put things behind me. Other people may be in the same position I was in… & if you don’t eventually stand up for yourself it can carry on for the next 12 years… like in my case. It was time to tell the truth… the truth that he so conveniently left out in the intervention.

On how she broke it off:
My management asked me not break up with him (he knows this) but it just became too difficult for me. Going on the road, recording… it was terrible. We were in Hit Factory & I remember him walking past me & he said “so this it, we over?” & I said “yes”.

On how she linked up with Ryan:
Ryan was always a good friend to me… when Robbie & I broke up it seemed as if most of the people around us took his side… so people were always saying things about me & Ryan would defend me so I was looking at him like he was my hero.

On what she thought about Intervention:
I didn’t watch it when it came on but then all this stuff started popping up on the internet & when I decided that I was going to do this interview I had to watch it… I’m being used a scapegoat for his failure… he didn’t appreciate me, City High… I saw him on there talking about the red carpet… he didn’t appreciate the red carpet… I’m 18 years old living my dream, we were nominated for a Grammy & here is Robbie drunk… drunker than I’ve ever seen, I’m hoping we don’t win because I didn’t think he could control himself if we had to go on stage an accept the award. To be ridiculed for something you did is one thing, but for lies & non-sense? That’s not going to work…

There are always 2 sides to every story and somewhere between them lies the truth. God bless the both of them.

This young lady’s story sounds completely plausible and fills so many gaps. I hope the young man gets the help that he so badly needs.

I finally watched the whole "Intervention" episode, and even though I don't know every little detail of what went on in the City High days, I can say this: the blame for his alcohol issues should not fall on her shoulders. In the video he says that Claudette hooking up with Ryan "fucked everything up." I can't stand people who look for scapegoats to avoid facing their own issues and that is exactly what seems to be happening. First it was Ryan and Claudette dating, then it was Robby's parents divorcing (when he was a grown ass man, mind you), then it was the music industry that "destroyed" him. Basically it was everyone and everything except for Robby.

If she did cheat on him or break up with him for his friend, yes it's shady, but that doesn't excuse him letting his life go into a downward spiral. I am glad that he made the choice to man up in the end and get some help, and I'm glad she told her version of the story.

I adore Claudette Ortiz…Going off the 10 minutes of Intervention I saw, I felt she was completely justified in leaving that bum. No woman deserves to deal with that type of shit.

if you dont have an album comin out stay irrlevant = we have enough tilas attention nabbers as it is, go awayyyy

  7. bknyc Says:

True. I know that people react to bad situations differently but how come most people use it as an excuse to spiral out of control and while others use it as motivation to rise above.

  8. Michelle Says:

I watched his Intervention it was ok I guess. He seemed like a lost soul. He's a grown man so his issues are his issues not hers. BUT Im sure theres more to this that we don't know like the first poster stated. I do have a question tho..so if she hooked up with Ryan after she broke up with Robby….where'd her other babydaddy come into play. Cause according to this http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1114879/bio ..she had her baby by the random unknown rapper in Aug. of 04 and then married Ryan in Oct. 04..just curious now….

This article made the whole story make since. I hate that she had to go through this but I'm glad she survived it. She was 17, now she is 29 that should have been over for him. In my experience most people with addictions are looking for someone else to blame. It’s too hard for them to look at themselves and how they messed up their own lives. I pray for them because I know an addiction of any kind (drugs, liquor, food, sex, gambling etc.) is hard to kick. I pray that he takes responsibility for himself so that he can live again in something other than a pool of liquor. The were all talented. I like City High.

It's two sides to every story and I believe hers! He's a drunk and as angry and disrepectful as he was to his current chick. Which is classified as verbal abuse I dont doubt a word she said!

Yeah, so I don’t really sympathize with either of them. There are always two sides to a story then there’s the truth. He portrayed himself as some victim and now she’s doing the same thing? I guess. City High wasn’t really that great of a group(in my opinion) anyway…..

  15. smh Says:

Guys… He's an alcoholic, of course he is going to blame someone else for his troubles. At the point in time that he was at everyone was to blame but himself, i watched the episode and its typical behavior for somebody with an addiction. It is always everybody else fault until that person can get to aplace in their own life when they realize what they have done and own up to responsibility.
I personally think it was tacky what she did, she didnt need to do it, Defending herself against an alcoholic, how much sense does that make? Clearly he is not in his right mind so why even go down that road. If she has moved on this really shouldnt have bothered her…hell we havent even seen her for years anyway…. Dramatic…

  16. Shaneice Says:

seems like she's blaming him for everything. he has issues, and he can't properly defend himself. girl, hold his hand and support him. he needs it.

  17. Guest Says:

She is still a big hoe for hooking up with his boy and having a baby by someone other than her husband. If it looks like a hoe, smells like a hoe and acts like a hoe, IT'S A HOE!!!!!!

  18. Majin Says:

Because, like you said, people react to bad situations differently. Love that turns badly is always a situation that usually turns nasty quick.

  19. cassandra Says:

man hes an alcoholic and thats that. you cant blame someone for making u one when its been 10 years. hes an alcoholic because his solo career didn't go no where and now hes back to starting over. maybe her being with the other member hurted him, but the whole career being snatched made it worst. an alcoholic never blames themselves for their actions and blames everyone around them point blank period.

  20. shari04 Says:

i agree with u Shaneice! this chick is just making shit worse! she need to go take care of them babies instead of trying to make him look like this terrible monster, she claims he was!

  21. Essence Says:

I'm sure that when he is sober his story would be much different. She didnt have to defend herself YEARS later. That show was recorded while he was sick so of course it was going to be his point of view. Come on. That still doesnt make it right. What she did CAN really screw someone up. I've been in that situation. Got dumped and watched my ex get with someone who I was close to and said would never do anything to hurt me. Well they BOTH hurt me deeply and it still affects me to this day. I havent picked up drinking but thats where people differ. She didnt have to kick him while he is down and trying to pick himself up. Go live your life. She seems bitter Who is her other baby daddy though? lol

  22. hmm Says:

Get the fuck out of here. If someone got on a show and lied on you there is no way that you wouldn't speak out on it. People kill me. Its okay for him to say whatever he wants but she should just sit back it take it. That is so much bullshit.

  23. hmm Says:

Everyone has choices. If you give a person the power to destroy you its your fault. There are shady people in this world. So using the excuse that someone hurt you so bad that you became an alcoholic is bullshit. My mom is an alcoholic and she blames everyone for her problems. Her mama didn't love her enough and her daddy wasn't there. But at the end of the day none of that means shit. It is her life. She knows what she needs to do and choices otherwise So get the fuck out of here with that bullshit you are talking. He got on national tv and defamed her character but she is supposed to sit back and take it? That is a load of crap. There is no way anyone would let someone do that and not say anything. And unless you are the baby daddy don't worry about it.
