Celebri-Quote: Omarion (Grammys? Songz Diss?)

…that elbow MIGHT be ashy as hell (y’all KNOW I hate ash!)
“If I’m not a part of that, then that’s not… I’m not gonna say it’s wack,” he says. “But I’m just saying, everyone knows what I do, so if you gon’ have an MJ tribute…I take that back because Stevie [Wonder] did an MJ tribute. Everyone loved Michael. I’m not gon’ say that. I’m just meaning the performance [aspect]. How you gon’ have a Michael tribute without the playboy? [Laughs]. That’s my only thing, and I mean this in the humblest and the most competitive way. I’m competitive — that’s what the game is about. Especially after Mike passed away, I feel like the stage, it’s more important now. It’s a responsibility to me when I hit the stage to not play with it. If you walk back and forth that’s cool, too (Songz?). If that’s how you entertain, that’s cool, but for the performances and for the dances and for the people that look up to Michael in the fashion I look up to Michael? I hope they bring it. Because if they don’t, then I will.”
Okay, so maybe I’m starting something. Hehe! But what do you guys think? Was it wrong for Omarion to be left out of a tribute to the great, Michael Jackson? When I think about it, he MIGHT have a point. Who else could bring it to O besides Breezy? Post your thoughts on the celebri-quote!

i can see where he’s coming from because all these MJ tributes have been wack or just ok because they havent had ppl doin what mj was known for dancing and stage presence…but then again O needs to realize he’s not as amazing as he thinks he is

I have to comment and give Omarion the sleepy unwashed side eye……If they didnt invite Chris Brown to give a tribute and he's the only one that would do it justice then why in the sam hell do you think they would invite Omarion. Chris Brown is the only artist that I know that paid tribute to Michael Jackson at every award show and at every concert. You dont see Chris Brown getting all pissy. Omarion sit ur thick in thighs ass down……..now let me go wash my face.
January 29th, 2010 at 10:04 am
Omarion needs to realize he’s only relevant to his damn self…cuz really..The Grammy’s ain’t checkin for his ass…I’m sorry but he overestimating his importance. He’s not Chris Brown..will never be Chris Brown…not that he can’t dance..cuz he can. But he’s like Usher..a one trick pony..they’ve both been doing the SAME dances since they came out.
January 29th, 2010 at 3:07 pm
chris brown chris brown chris brown! is the only one that should be tight. its been a year now enough. get over it and the industry minds too much of peoples business. do they really think people care anymore about CB and Rhiana's foolisness?
January 29th, 2010 at 3:22 pm
In essence, I think Omarion should've been apart of it because let's face it, he's known for dancing. just like Breezy.
However, for Omarion to get all QUEENLY about it and throw a hissy-fit is not cute. Very unattractive Mr. Granberry. Try it again, and come correct, playboy.
January 29th, 2010 at 3:44 pm
Omarion need to sit his ass down and think about why his album only sold 20,000. I'm upset that the Grammys didn't invite Chris Brown to perform. That the only person that can do a proper tribute to Michael Jackson. Usher has been slipping lately, but I guess we'll see when it comes to Sunday.
January 29th, 2010 at 3:50 pm
O shut th fuck up dude always talking shit cuz no one is checking for him. No One Want to see him perform hes not interesting ok you can dance WTF thats about it! your a good dancer O happy but thats all you are so stop trying to get attention already!
January 29th, 2010 at 4:01 pm
all omarion does is prance around and pop his bubble butt all across the stage he can dance when somebodys givin him moves and hes practiced them yea..im not gone discredit him but so could the other four boys in his group so should they allll be invited to do a tribute??omarion is not nominated for a grammy and hasnt done anything grammy worthy in a while so therefor he shouldnnt even be there let alone be up on the stage
January 29th, 2010 at 11:04 am
Umm sorry Omari but they already have Usher scheduled to do his ticking and moon walking in a circle. Why would they call on you to come do the same thing? Michael Jackson wasnt just a dancer but he could actually sing thats why they have people like Maxwell and Jennifer Hudson doing the tribute because he influenced them too. They already have one washed up “dancer” they definitely dont need two. Oh by the way you might wanna sell more then 22k your first week before you beg the Grammys to let you on their stage
January 29th, 2010 at 4:11 pm
He's quite cocky. Omarion is irrelevant these days & he's just mad b/c no one is really checking for him. Besides, the Grammys want people who make music that is worthy of a Grammy nomination anyway; no floppers allowed.
January 29th, 2010 at 4:43 pm
omarion, youre not relevant to the grammys
January 29th, 2010 at 6:24 pm
This off tune ass nigga needs to sat down! You are not on mike's level… AT ALL. I dare you to release a single without autotune and on key.
January 29th, 2010 at 7:34 pm
His cry baby ass. He aint even all that like he thinks he is.
January 29th, 2010 at 2:52 pm
They should of had Chris Brown, but he will continue to be blackballed for at least another year.
January 29th, 2010 at 8:33 pm
I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and ask… when they were thinking of ALL the musicians that would be honored to do such a tribute, and would be available to perform… do you THINK Omarion was in the top 10, 20, or 30? LMAO Some of these niggas get self-important to the point of dementia. That'd be like me gettin' mad over not being included on a top 100 blogs list or some shit. And my site's gotten more hits this month than he sold albums, so my gripe MIGHT even be a lil' more legit!
-D!
January 29th, 2010 at 8:47 pm
I'm sorry but everything about Omarion is is very offensive to me. He looks like he got stuck in that ''cocky jock in highschool'' look. Ugh he's like 5 feet tall? Those eyebrows, there aint nothin fresh about him. Leave the smooth gaze to Chris for the love of God. Oh and for the love of god stop wearing tight clothes. They only look good on slim guys. And you my friend have been on twinkies since yesteryear. I dont like short arrogant stubby little bushbrowed leprechauns! I hate you, I dont want to see your fug face on no blogs no more! Go awayyyyy
January 29th, 2010 at 10:37 pm
Who is Omarion again? and I doubt the Grammy producer knows who he is…Have a Seat
January 29th, 2010 at 11:21 pm
Everyone keeps pointing out that the Grammy's don't care about Omarion and no one bought his album. But, that's the problem with these tributes. They're not about the artist paying tribute, its about the artist that is being honored. Chris Brown, Omarion, Usher, and Ginuwine are known for dancing. Regardless of how many albums they sell or how relevant they are. That's what they're known for and they are good at it. But, instead we are going to have a whole bunch of people that have sold albums, that are "relevant", that can't sing or dance (Keri Hilson—did anyone see the BET Awards?) paying tribute to the King of Pop.
January 30th, 2010 at 2:21 am
the old o would be perfect for an mj tribute, but he needs to ditch the new o to 'get it in'.
January 30th, 2010 at 4:01 am
The Grammys is taking a different approach with this tribute.. They're are airing Michael's 3D piece "Earth Song". Instead of having the usual imitators perform his hit, they rather honor Michael while spreading his message..which goes beyond his music. It will be a tribute in honoring his music along with what was special to him, being a humanitarian. The Earth Song tribute will require some actual singing; Probably the reason why the likes of CB or Omarion weren't asked to participate. I guess to put it simple.. Michael was more than just some song and dance man. His mission was to help change the world. Instead of watching another mediocre performance with stars of today performing the usual "Billie Jean or Thriller" pieces (which wouldn't even come close to Mike), were going to get something more. A tribute for what Michael Jackson really stood for.

i still have hope that one day MJ will appear out of nowhere…smh. RIP M.J. anywho…i kinda agree with omari on this one. although he sound cocky as heck! but…they gonna have my boo URSHER so i'm estatic to see it! hope everyone got they free 3d glasses : ) o ginuwine could dance his ass of too!
January 30th, 2010 at 7:35 am
Who does Omarion think he is? Like really….who does he think he is? If I didn't know any better I would think he was Michael Jackson re-incarnated the way he's talking. Dude hasn't released any relevant music since "Ice Box" and he wants to be rewarded for his mediocrity? As much as he claims to "bring it," has anyone seen any actual videos of him paying tribute to MJ? If he loves Michael Jackson so much, why not just do his own tribute in the first place? If you ask me, I think he just wants the recognition of being on the Grammys, which grants him yet another big ass FAIL.
