Remember Ricky’s baby mama in the movie Boyz N the Hood? What about Damita in the 1992 movie Class Act starring Kid & Play? Alysia Rogers was the lady who portrayed both characters.

Where Are They Now: Men at Large
While letting the shuffle option on my iPod go apesh*t, one of my favorite songs came on. The song was called Let’s Talk About It and it was by the 90s group, Men at Large. The duo originated in Cleveland, Ohio and was discovered by Gerald Levert (RIP). I wanted to see if I could find out anything about the group’s members, David Tolliver (left) & Jason Champion (right), and was able to pull up information via their Myspace profile. While both appear to still be involved in music, Champion seems to focus more on the gospel side of things. These big boys could sing their ASSES off! Loved ‘em and it’s good to see they’re still doing well!

Where Are They Now: Zhane
If you know some sh*t about the 90s, then you absolutely know about the group Zhane. As a group they stood out for three reasons: there were only two of them, their harmonies were SUPER on point and their trademark short ‘dos. The duo consisted of Renee Neufville (left, above and below) and Jean Norris-Baylor (right). Their break out single was Hey Mr. DJ and the song was FIYAH (young bucks, feel free to CLICK HERE to get your dose of the goodness). PS: Doesn’t Renee resemble Toni Childs (Girlfriends)? I’m just saying…

Where Are They Now?
I think that I’m going to start doing a feature on here for “throwback” Black folks called “Where are they now?” Sometimes I ask that question out loud when watching old movies & television shows.
Which brings me to the 2nd addition to WATN (click HERE if you missed the first)…Sitting at home, bored on a Saturday night watching Menace II Society (a HOOD classic) and I said “I wonder where lil’ Anthony is?” Welp, Anthony, whose real name is Jullian Doster now goes by the name Young Menace and is an up and coming rapper out in Cali.
