R. Kelly is back with a new track/video called When a Woman Loves and I must say…I am loving the old school vibe that this song has. His voice sounds better than ever. Additionally, I am a huge fan of black and white photos and videos. He sounds really good. Have you guys forgiven R. Kelly? I know that a lot of people say that they appreciate the man in the music, not the man BEHIND the music. What do you guys think?

Check out the new video for Can’t Be Friends by Trey Songz. I have to admit…I didn’t care much for the song UNTIL I saw this video. Call me crazy but I am a huge fan of simplicity when it comes to videos. A lot of people didn’t like Usher’s There Goes My Baby video but the video (and it’s simplicity, of course) is what made me love the song even more (click HERE if you missed it). I could’ve gone my whole life without ever seeing all the dramatic queen faces Trigga made throughout the video but it was still very nicely done. Sometimes love makes you make those faces, I guess. Definitely still on the bone-able list. Post your thoughts on the vid!

I didn’t watch the video because I don’t like the song. Great for your ipod for a good workout but to listen to on GP? Not my flavor! Check it out and let me know what you think!

Shout out to the fact that I sat here and watched this entire video just to see what Nicki Minaj was gon’ do. I’m still not feeling the top’s summer anthem but the video is nice. Congrats on the budget, Trigga.

While sitting on Twitter last night, I kept seeing tweets about Kanye West’s new video, Power. I heard words like “fail,” “sucky,” and “bullsh-t” being thrown around and of course wanted to check it out for myself. Maybe I’m a little “off” but I actually loved it. The video had an arrogant yet ‘powerful’ feel to it. Although there wasn’t any (physical) movement from Kanye, I thought that the video was moving on its own. For me, the video absolutely served its purpose.

What do you guys think of the short vid? Was it really a fail or was it just Kanye being Kanye?

Well look who decided to crawl from under a rock and join us in the current life. Tank makes a video (re)debut with Sex Music after being gone for a hot minute. If I’m not mistaken, he has several writing credits under his belt. He is looking 12 days of sexy in this video (and those lips are KILLING a G right now…wow). Although I could’ve done without the autotune, I must say that this song is a bit catchy! What do you guys think? Can Tank and his voice help him hang with the younger generation (Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, etc.,) or do you think that this song (and video) are a failed attempt at a comeback? A couple weeks ago, I posted THIS video from Sweet Addictions TV personality, Candy, called Make a Move and wanted to share another new video with you from JoWork called Put Me Out. I listened to his mixtape, The Effect, (which you can download HERE) a few days ago and actually liked it. Nonetheless, I’m just showing my support to those who are doing their thing from Youtube, seeing as how that’s how I got my “mainstream” start, so to speak. Kudos on not looking low budget, Jo. A couple of these celebs on 106th & Park should take note!
