Stacey Dash Promotes F*cking on the First Date

Stacey Dash stopped by Jamie Foxx’s show, The Foxxhole, where she talked about f*cking on the first date. Dash states that she wants to find out up front if the sex is bad and if it is, she BOUNCES! Wow! Never heard a female (celebrity) openly speak on this.

This brings me to my question: Do you guys think that a woman is still respected if she has the same attitude that Stacey has? I know that there is a HUGE double standard regarding women and waiting. Additionally, if you think that f*cking on the first date is wrong, do you put a time frame on WHEN you do the horizontal two step? How long? I’d especially love to hear from my male readers on this one!

Open Discussion: Monique & Her Open Marriage

Oscar nominated actress, comedian & talk show host, Monique, recently opened up to Barbara Walters for an Oscar special airing on Sunday about her open relationship with husband, Sidney Hicks. Read what she had to say about their marriage after the break and then I’d like to know would any of YOU be involved in an open relationship? Why or why not?

Open Discussion: Shiloh Jolie-Pitt/Gender Confusion (?)

Alright…so Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, baby girl to the beautiful Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt, has become a topic of discussion on many blogs. Angie and Brad have come under fire for allowing the three year old to dress like a boy and also be referred to as John or Peter (depending on her mood, according to Brad).

What do you guys think about this? I had no clue that three year olds had ‘dressing’ preferences that ran so deep that they could possibly throw a temper tantrum if they weren’t appeased. I’m all about children being happy but are Brad and Angie helping Shiloh or hurting her? Post your thoughts and let’s discuss!

PS: The “gender confusion” bit is referencing what the experts are saying. Google it. :)

Open Discussion: Does Lil’ Kim Need an Intervention?

A Lil’ Kim fansite reached out to MissJia.com to talk about her desperate need for an intervention before it was too late. Popular fansite, Lil Kim Zone, is one of the longest standing Queen Bee fansites on the web and now, Rachel, one of the site’s founders, has written an open letter in hopes of staging an intervention to get some of Kim’s “yes” people out of her life and push the Queen Bee back into the spotlight.

Once you’ve read the letter (after the break), post your thoughts on Lil’ Kim. We all know that she’s done some serious changing over the years and truth be told, we have not seen her working nearly as much as she did only a few years ago. Why do you think that is? Read the letter and post your thoughts!

Open Discussion: Girlfriend/Wife…Is There a Difference?

Very interesting question indeed, as I have had this same discussion with several of my friends.

I have heard women say, “If he’s not married, then he’s single,” even if the “he” in question has a girlfriend. I also have a guy friend back in North Carolina who is currently dating a girl who has a boyfriend. They are LITERALLY a “couple,” and he says that he doesn’t see a problem with it because he’s somehow confident that she’d eventually leave her current dude for him. I choose to keep my hands to myself because should this attached male accept my advances, who’s to say that he won’t pull the same bullsh*t on me with another chick? What makes ME so different?

This brings me to my question for you guys and gals…is it ever okay to be involved with someone who is involved? Are there any of you (male or female) who feel that if a person has a boyfriend/girlfriend, it’s very different than if they had a husband/wife and would you pursue/date that person? Why or why not?

Also, if any of you have any stories related to this topic, I’d love to read it! Post it up in the comments section!

Open Discussion: Russell Simmon’s “Rush Card”

I’ve wanted to do this blog entry for a while now because the topic is something that I feel passionately about but would always “forget” when I’d create the posts the night before. However, when I woke up and read THIS blog entry by mogul, Russell Simmons, I immediately rolled my eyes in disgust (pot? meet kettle, maybe?) and wanted to ask you guys to post your thoughts on the Rush Card.

Open Discussion: Is the N Word Acceptable for ANYONE + Mayer HAS Dropped It Before

I’ve always hated when people apologize for saying what was initially on their heart. It always comes across as fake, planned and disingenuous. So when John Mayer posted his little apology via Twitter, subsequently apologizing (and crying) at a live show, I was still giving him a mean side eye because I had a feeling that, even though he “may not be racist” (as many put it), the Playboy interview wasn’t the first time he dropped the N-bomb! Click HERE to read about the first time.

Which brings me to the question…several of you posted in the initial entry about Mayer that if Blacks do it, then why can’t anyone else? Some of you feel that when Blacks say the “N” word (dropping the -er but adding an -a), it’s okay because it’s considered a term of endearment. And although you feel that it’s a term of endearment when used by Blacks, no one else should ever be that endearing. On the adverse, many of you feel that NO ONE should ever use the word, even its variations (i.e., ninja, jigga, etc.). Post your thoughts on the topic (and don’t forget to check out the link showing the first time Mayer dropped the N-bomb)!

Open (& HONEST) Discussion: Do You Stereotype Folks Based on Race?

Tyra Banks had a show on racial stereotyping, which allowed people to give their staged honest opinions about different ethnic groups and stereotypes that they feel based on their appearance.

How many of you are willing to be honest about stereotypes that you hold as “truth” regarding other ethnic groups, based on things you’ve heard, ill perception, past experiences, etc? No judgments…just post your stereotypes and why you feel that way, especially if you’ve had a specific experience that causes you to feel the way you do!
