I must admit that this poem had my attention. A spoken word artist by the name of Jasmine did a piece using Nicki Minaj as its main subject. Many of her points are interesting but I find it just as interesting that she knew a LOT of the Nick-ster’s lines. Still a great piece! Check it out and post your thoughts!

First off, my apologies for the lack of blog posts today but a G was out for the count. I had way too much to drink last night at the Dirty Panties party at Gold Room. I WOULD give Diddy a shout out for the Ciroc but I threw up so much today that I’d rather say “f-ck you” instead. Rude? Oh.
Anyway, when I finally woke up from my drunken stupor, I was getting text messages and DMs about Biship Eddie Long being accused of using the bible and things to sexual coerce men into performing sexual favors for him. I’m sure that a lot of folks mouths are wide open by these accusations but personally, I’m not surprised. There are a lot of f-cked up people in this world and the church houses many of them. A LOT (not all) only use church/religion as a mask for some of the stuff that they pull, so stories like these don’t surprise me at all. I wonder if any of these men have video or photographic evidence. And I also wonder why they’re just now coming out (pun totally intended) with this news. Did the checks stop coming in? A negative balance in the bank account can do that to ya. Hmm…anyway, check out the story after the break!

Let me start off this blog by saying that this photo was taken by Rob Ector. I don’t own the rights to it. Thanks…
Now, after Usher released the song, Papers, on Monday (click HERE if you missed it), I immediately said to myself, “I wonder what Tameka will say about this!” Don’t be fooled…I don’t have an inside track that informed me that what’s coming up happens to be about Usher and his new single. But the “my way” and “the light” reference (a name that, according to a fan, Usher is called in the Oceans 7 crew) really let me know that Tameka is speaking out. And can you blame her? Really? Peep her interesting (but long) blog after the break!

“I don’t f*ck with Hollywood b*tches and she’s like one of the chicks that’s just changed along the way with the fame and the money and all of that. I don’t really get down with her anymore on some real sh*t. The truth hurts, but it will set you free. But I wish her all the best.”—Lloyd speaking on Ciara

I was wondering when somebody was going to realize that they will no longer be getting what they paid for! LMAO!
At least one subscriber of defunct hip-hop culture magazine Vibe wants to know why he’s not getting a refund — and is willing to go to court to get it.
In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in federal court in Manhattan, Alabama resident Kenneth Rogers said he purchased a one year subscription three months before the shock announcement and wants all subscribers to get their money back. Rogers sued for breach of contract and unjust enrichment for a lost subscription and is seeking class action status to allow others to join in the fight.
“As the magazine was quietly closing up the shop, the Vibe website continued to contain links to advertisements enticing customers to purchase subscriptions to the magazine,” the lawsuit says, naming Vibe Media Group as a defendant along with unnamed people associated with the magazine. Vibe should have “publicly disclosed to subscribers that it was teetering on the brink of insolvency,” it says.
It said a one-year subscription cost between $9.95 and $14.95, and Vibe, the baby of acclaimed music producer Quincy Jones (Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and “Off the Wall” albums included), had more than 800,000 subscribers.

I have to have THE best followers on Twitter! @ItsJayRabBaby sent me a link to DC Mumbo Sauce’s showcase of the City Paper but you can also find it at Lady Crunk’s spot. Lawd, this sh*t was FILARIOUS! iCan’t!
Jay-Z premiered the video for DOA last night after the tragedy that was the BET awards. I know that I am a bit late posting this but for those of you who missed it and are just getting a chance to see it today, what are your thoughts?

Speaking of Jay-Z, word is that he stopped Chris Brown’s efforts at redemption, tribute and being great by letting the powers that be at BET know that if Chris is allowed to perform, he would pull his and Beyonce’s performance (see the twit posted by one of Chris’ dancers). Necole Bitchie is reporting that Covergirl even made threats of canceling their awards show sponsorship if Chris performed. I dunno how I feel about that. Of course I do not promote men whooping up on womens’ a*s but if the man wanted to show his respects to MJ (and I DO think he would’ve been the best male performer to do that), then why not? Sheesh…

Shade, shade, shade…! I’m hearing more and more about celebrities being taken to the wash during business dealings but the only question I have is as follows: Are celebrities doing what they can to read all fine print, double checking and rechecking with attorneys to make sure things are 100% on the up and up? I mean, you can’t get TOO mad if a business deal goes awry if everything isn’t checked out as it should be. Not assuming anything at all about Tatyana’s situation…I’m just saying.
The girl who played Ashley Banks on the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” could really use Phil’s bottomless wallet to bail her out again — because she claims she just got screwed out of over $45,000.
Tatyana Ali and her sister Anastasia claim they invested the $45k in a web series called “Buppies” — which starred Tatyana — and even filmed a pilot for the show.
In the suit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, the sisters claim the company in charge of producing the show lost the $45k and then bailed on the show.
