Digital Make-Overs for Women of Color
Have you ever gone to a website that offers digital makeovers and got pissed because none of the hair or makeup options included women of color? Well, Essence now offers the option for us so that you can test out that new hairstyle or maybe even dabble in some bold makeup choices that you’ve been dying to try out. Take a quick photo of yourself and upload it to the site or you can choose from several options of women who may have many of the same features as you for a test run! Let me know how you like it!

And in interesting news, it looks like Day 26 has hopped on the footwear bandwagon and come up with a new line of heels called Eight 2 Six.
Day 26, of Diddy’s “Making the Band” has teamed with heels.com to exclusively release a line of woman’s high heel shoes called Eight2Six. The line of three shoes are to celebrate Day 26’s track “High Heels” and each is priced at $99.99 and can be purchased at Heels.com.

Wow, this looks like it’s going to be good! I can’t wait to see it. As many of you know, I stopped perming my hair almost five years ago and haven’t looked back. People tell me all the time that the only reason I am able to pull off the natural look is because I allegedly have good hair. After such a remark, I politely ask “Well what IS good hair?” I’m not stupid…I know what they’re implying but I ask that to see what type of response I get. In my very humble opinion, any hair that’s on your hair is ‘good.’ If it works for you, it’s doing a good job. *shrugs shoulders* Post your thoughts on the trailer! Can’t wait to hear what you have to say!
PS: I especially love the parts where Raven Symone, Lauren London, Nia Long, Meagan Good, Salt & Pepa, etc all talk about weaves! Way to go, Chris Rock!

Method Man & Redman chimed in on the Nas/Kelis child support judgment. To be perfectly honest with you, I agree with what was being said in this video. A lot of these women who get with these entertainers and drop an 18 year plan feel as though they’re somehow entitled to live the same lifestyle as the person who let go of their sperm. FACT: Children don’t need $40k+ per month to survive.If many of our own parents can raise us on that same amount or even less per YEAR, then we can all agree that the awarded amount is excessive. But hey, it’s his pockets, not mine. Some of the more notable moments from the vid (that I probably shouldn’t be laughing at):

-*-50 grand a month for some p*ssy?
-*-Russell {Simmons} ain’t even gotta pay that f*cking much!

Alright, I don’t hate on the way a person acquires a*s but Lil’ Flip sounds like a groupie right about now. First of all, what is the Kim Kardashian? Do you pull out a credit card, pay for some sh*t and toot your booty? I’m gonna need to see a visual.
