This is absolutely, POSITIVELY full of sh*t! Now, you mean to tell me that BET won’t air the above video (which seemed to lack the usual over-abundance of tits and a*s associated with music these days) but yet:
-*-They JUST premiered Drake’s Breast I Ever Had video?
-*-They had a whole SHOW (Uncut) dedicated to nasty a*s booty shakin’ songs, with good #1 hits such as What That Thang Smell Like (click HERE for the video)
-*-They have artists such as Pleasure P, telling the women of the world that it’s okay to be on some ho-sh*t b/c their man ain’t acting right
-*-They feature shows such as Tiny & Toya, Hell Date, and even attempted to have another show displaying Hot Ghetto A*s Messes but….
You’ve truly gotta be sh*ttin’ me? SMDH! I will continue on with my efforts in speaking the ills of BET and the rest of you can sit back, smiling, winning and grinning for them if you want to! You can’t have it both ways people…don’t tell the world you can’t stand them but support them in all their f*ckritude. It makes NO SENSE!

There was absolute nothing wrong with that video. If the lyrics were degrading (being a side chick), then they shouldn’t be playing half the songs that are currently out with lyrics calling women bitches and hoes and everything else. If it was the content of the video, then like you said, they shouldn’t be showing Drake’s ridiculous video. BET has some serious problems and they need to fire everyone in management and just start over!

Miss Jia, I was agreeing with you all the up until you said something about this being a good video. How can you get mad at some garbage and the other garbage you justify? Songs like these are all degrading and we need artists as a whole to come out with better content and more talent PERIOD. BET is a Entertainment company who is in the business to make money. If you want to point fingers, point them at the artists, song writers, and the people who watch this mess to begin with. BET is giving the people what THEY WANT to WATCH, and if this wasn’t the case, they would be in serious financial turmoil. I don’t believe that they are.

@Lori: maybe I should’ve been more clear…cuz trust, I was the first one that said something about Pleasure P’s song, Boyfriend #2 (but yet I loved the melody and vocals on it).
Here’s what I mean…BET has NO real standard on how they pick their content. If they’re going to ban things because someone has on a white tee…then that standard should be for all artists. Same with the whole degradation of women thing…I personally think it’d be awesome of BET (as a whole) would start banning things that disrespect women. But they’re not going to…so since they’re not, why try and wage that war against THIS particular video but none of the others? I’m just questioning their standard.

Well I must say I like the video & the song, maybe it’s only because Willy sexy to me. But some say it is degrading to women; but people have to realize he’s speaking the truth it is a lot of side chicks out there & they gone bang this song too lol. BET banned the video because of the whole Steve Mcnair situation. Clearly, if the video had come out last month, BET would most def have the video in heavy rotation. But because of Steve Mcnair getting killed by his “#1 Side Chick,” I guess they deemed it inappropriate.

BET comes up with “reasons” to not show certain stuff… and it usually depends on how much of a priority the artist is to their station. If this was a Jay-Z video, a Ne-Yo video, or a Jamie Foxx video… there’d be NO PROBLEM. But when it’s a relatively new, unkown artist who they can get away with doing it to, they do it. They won’t do it to Drake’s shit because they wanna be able to take credit for having a part in his breakout success. Just like how older artists couldn’t get THEIR sh*t played a few years ago because their videos allegedly had to pass some kind of “quality standard”, even as some of the cheapest-lookin’ videos ever like Mike Joooones’ shit was getting played.
It’s all political. Let that shit become a big hit and see if BET refuses to play it then.

They are so crazy! The video was fine…lyrics were ok too (not an ideal situation but it happens). I have watched this network damn near my whole life and now all of sudden they want to try to pull videos that are “degrading”…WTF!
After watching that video I don’t feel like any less of a woman. Drake’s video on the hand leaves me shaking my head! Not only was it just utterly ridiculous visually but the lyrics made it 1,000 times worse. But I’m sure he will make it to number one on the countdown.
So you pull this video but you plan on “blessing” us with Frankie & Neffe next month after giving us Tiny & Toya…Where Tiny describes herself as “TI’s woman,” never mind the fact that you were a member of a very successful group and have written countless award winning songs…these chicks don’t even respect themselves.

I want to thank everyone for their support in this matter. But I need everyone to look at the facts:
-Willy is a new artist, dropping an album during the recession.
-Willy is a black man. (BET- BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION)
-Willy did NOTHING wrong.
-Promotion dollars are limited these days so our artist can use all the looks they can get.
-There are videos and shows on BET that degrade the entire black race.
-If you watch the video, its obvious that Willy was taught a lesson. You’d think we’d encourage lessons, not shun them away.
-I directed that video over a month ago. (Way before any incident that might have caused them to ban this video)
-This VIDEO is not condoning “the sidechick”.
Willy has a family to feed and he’s taking the positive route. SUPPORT that. Don’t punish him.
My twitter message wasn’t intended to bad mouth BET. It was intended to display our issues with supporting each other within our own culture and race. BET is a small part of the bigger problem.

I saw the video Monday on MTV Jams…Now I had a problem with the lyrics but the video was awesome…I liked it a lot. Take Drake’s video, I believe it was straight garbage and I could have done a better video but BET plays that video. I don’t even watch BET unless I see they are playing an episode of “The Game” but that pisses me off when they *bleep* out some of the words. I will not get on the tragedy they call the BET awards. Back to the point, I really enjoyed the video and like the director said he learns his lesson in the end and I started laughing and saying thats what you get.

And I am not going to spend my hard earned money on something I don’t believe in just b/c the person isn’t on the street hustling or knocking people upside the head. I got a couple of things to say. first I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE DRAKE> but i was the first one to say that i thought the video was a little in poor taste and would be suprised if it even got air time. But looky now, it has. SO why on earth would this video be banned. There is not a thing in poor taste in this video (besides the lyrics). No bouncy boobs, or too much ass.
Now about the song and the video, I dont like it. How are you going to write a song about your number one side chick. You love her and this and that, you talk about how if you said so she’d leace you and be with her real nigga permanently??? then why you playn her. Then the side chick… how you gon invest so much of yourself into a man that aint never going to care for you? That shit dont make sense.
The only thing that i find offensive about this song is the fact that this guy has a good woman at home. She prolly givin him head and all, but he still chooses to be with that ractchet side bitch. NO.

First off, I never knew that Michelle had a video to that song. BET failed majorly on that one. Now this video; the video itself was rather tasteful in my opinion and not in the least bit demeaning. The lyrics, well they are what they are. How many songs are being played with similar stories being told in them? I may not agree, but out of a lot of videos that BET plays, this would not even rank on a list of what is demeaning. I am forever done with BET. Regardless of any decent shows they may show (99% of those being syndication), the negatives weigh in so much greater and I cannot in any way, shape or form support this network.

I want to analyze the words that I wrote two days ago. The reason why I hate the video is because it sends out a message of pure bullshit and stereotypes.
For instance in the video the Hispanic chick was encouraging the black man to be a drugged Dealer and to be on the street corner for the rest of his whatever he have left, to spend it on the street corner; and never amount to anything, which will leave the brutha behind bars, or worst a tragedy of black on black crime. This video was clearly a no brainer especially after President Barack Obama had lift black woman to a higher status, and even the black man.
What I cringed about this video is that a beautiful educated black woman with class and style. Was teaching him how to dress, and leave the streets behind. To even think that he left her dry and cold to be a hustler with a Hispanic chick that wasn’t worth shit, and she on her way to the pen anyway. Sets black men back and that is not cool at all.
What I hate is that everyone is not really using their Critical thinking skills they only looking at the obvious message, which is one side chick. But what about the hidden message.
