Ovie Mughelli!!
So, quite a few of you guessed that it was Ovie from THIS post from yesterday. I didn’t do a great job at hiding the clues, did I?
Nonetheless, the person who sent the email (as I’m sure most of you read) was involved with Ovie for several years and although he has several pieces of proof, I only requested that he send a couple and you guys can decide from there.
Aside from the pictures that the anonymous writer sent showing Ovie getting comfy in a hotel (and showing off his bod), he also sent in a receipt for a rental car, with Ovie’s name on it that also shows the last four of the credit card number. Additionally, there is a hotel receipt in the writer’s name that was also paid for by Ovie (check the last four of the CC) during his time in Baltimore with the Ravens (see it all after the break).
After posting the BI yesterday, I received a TON of emails and DMs (on Twitter) asking me if it was indeed Ovie and if so, they had a story to tell too. Apparently, the person who wrote this letter is not the only guy that Ovie possibly sexed up while they provided him with money. Wow.
A lot of you questioned why I agreed to post this and “blast” a guy living his life on the DL. Simple. I could’ve been that woman…your friend could’ve been that gay man. It could’ve been anybody. When I first read this guy’s letter, I felt his emotion and although I would’ve been like MANY of you and at LEAST looked inside the envelope, I will say that you can’t really judge how a person handles their emotions when they’ve been hurt. Now, I’m not saying that it’s okay for people to just kill folks all nilly willy but when you’re mad, you’re mad. Please believe that hell hath no fury like a woman a gay man scorned.
While I don’t have an issue with a person being gay, I DO take issue with folks not being honest about it. Sure, society has this stigma on homosexuality. But if you’re afraid of what others may think if they were to find out, it’s best for you to invest in some gay porn and keep your dick in your pants until you’re ready to be real with yourself. When you’re rocking that “solo love,” you’re the only one emotionally invested. When you involve other people with the intent to deceive, you’re allowing someone else’s emotions to become invested under false pretense. And eventually, somebody’s going to get hurt. And no matter what, the sh*t never ends well.
To the person who sent the letter in to me, I thank you for sharing your story! Let this be a lesson to us all…what’s done in the dark eventually comes to light. And when that light comes on, you better not have your dick in a spot you don’t want anyone to know about because you could damn sure become a blog entry on MissJia.com.

If your question why Ovie would keep this quiet you obviously know nothing about men's athletics. This is his bread and butter. We cannot sit here and judge anyone. First off as a heterosexual woman I dont parade hey Im heterosexual and proud. Dont need to. And then you bring in a 3rd party who can also witness and vouch for the payment. smh A hot ass mess. I kinda agree. Although when we write in to Jia, we are afforded some kind of anonymity. But since this person chose to name names, particularly someone in the public eye, they should also have their name thrown out there.
And in the end, if this scandal becomes a big media storm it has the potential to be, I'm sure his name will come out as well anyway, probably be asked to do interviews and whatnot. Unless Ovie's reps pay MEGA bucks to make this ish die today.

A lot of people want to out the writer, but that obviously leaves him even more vulnerable to being attacked for this whole situation. A lot of people don't realize that the writer is the victim, even IF he put the homie Ovie's business on front street. People get killed pretty frequently over being gay. Though Ovie is now outed, the dude who wrote this now has two discredits to his name that most men would ensure harm to him over. 1. He's gay. 2. He's a snitch. I find it really odd everyone is like DL men are the cause of diseases going around (and back to women)… Yes it is true that it is more likely for a sexually active homosexual man to have HIV, but we seriously have to remember HIV/AIDS doesn't care what your sexuality or gender is for that matter. It's not just a gay disease anymore…..
I've always been on the idea that it takes TWO to tango. It's alarming how many females spread for a dude without a condom… I'm not trying to tell anyone how to live their life, but its your responsibility to protect yourself against STDs. Yes there is a factor of trust built in there, BUT maybe the only person who should poke you without a condom is your HUSBAND.
Once again I'm not telling you how to live your life (because it is possible your husband could be DL and works for the goose isn't good for the gander), but you should always be taking precautions. Don't let one night of passion end in a visit to the clinic or worse….

I would have liked to hear this guys side of the story or at least know that he had an opportunity to address these allegations. The proof exhibited does nothing but show proof of a relationship. This is a jilted lover we are talking about. HOw do you know that it went down as explained. There is an assumption being made that the guy is DL. HOw do you know he isnt just bi sexual? HOw do you know that while trying to keep his personal life personal, he hasnt fully disclosed this to his committed relationship partners? The stigma of being gay but this post is in part why there is a stigma. There are several places where there are gaps in the story of this gentleman? There are 2 sides to every story and it seems to me that its possible they had a relationship and the guy moved on. Maybe he did it in a shitty way or maybe not, maybe dude threw a temper tantrum went on and on about how much money he provided the footballer with while in college and THATS why dude called him to give him the money back, to cut all ties and debts and move on and thats why ole dude is mad.

#1. the story was not "shopped around." The story was offered to me FIRST because the guy who was involved with Ovie happens to ALSO be a really good friend to my former college room mate. She knows the type of blog that I run and immediately thought to get the story to ME FIRST when the guy chose to air it out.
#2. I don't care what the hell you think of me handing out "character assassinations." I'll tell you just as I tell anyone else…if you're not a part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Therefore, if you don't LIKE blogs that handle business in the manner in which I handled it, DO NOT VISIT THEM. It should be really simple but I guess for simple minds, it wouldn't be.

Despite our feelings about dudes on the DL I have to say that it is kind of foul for ol boy to get outed in this manner. I mean people with AIDS are legally protected from being outed without their permission and while homosexuality isn't a disease it should be handled similarly because of the way our society handles the issue. There is still a stigma attached to it and even more so in the world of sports.
Jeremy Shockey made big headlines here in NYC when he spoke out about not wanting to play with a "fag". Tim Hardaway made some controversial comments about homosexuals too. A story like this has the potential to wreck Ovie's career. There are a handful of players who have come out of the closet after their careers ended(see John Amaechi) because they know that certain things are not accepted in their world. Ovie's sexuality should be something that he personally chooses to divulge.

I'm not denying how jilted the lover may have felt. But to me airing Ovie out wasn't the best way to go about it. I think the lover did this as a way to seek some kind of revenge because they figure that this could hurt Ovie. So this revelation probably wasn't made with the purest of intentions. We all know that professional sports isn't ready to accept that gays can be macho and athletes and if Ovie isn't ready to reveal that information then someone who "supposedly" cared about him shouldn't be trying to force him to reveal it.

This is tacky, and I hope the man gets what's coming to him. And to be frank, Jia, I think you're putting yourself in a position to receive nothing but negativity as well. It's so tacky for these scorned dude to try and ruin this man's career like that. Simply because he broke up with you, you're going to ruin his entire life, knowing full well how society responds to homosexuality. This man could be beaten up or even killed because of this. You want to be responsible for putting out information that puts this man's life at risk. This is just tacky, from all angles. Exactly what business is it of yours whether he is gay or not. You never said he has denied being gay before so what wrong has he committed other than not announcing the fact that he is gay. None of his teammmates have come out and said they are straight so why not put up half-naked pictures of these fellas and look for confirmation of them being straight. One of your posters pointed out that two NFLers in the past have come out of the closet but neither came out while they were in the league. Why? Because they are working in a lockerroom with a high school mentality which would likely cause them a lot of grief if not their job. About a week ago I questioned the validity and journalism credentials of Miss Jia, or as I so pun intended Miss Jiant mouth, which I now resend. I still think this whole thing about the letter and queer, is a black ski mask and paper bag heist attempt. Miss Jia, for her part as a reporter has submitted enough circumstantial evidence to at least clear herself for slander, and presented a respectable position as a journalist.

I felt this one really deep. It happened to me and for all you bloggers who want to hate on the writer who posted this information, I say SHUT THE HELL UP!!!! Unless your heart had been broken in such a nasty way, you don’t, and can’t know how it truly feels. It hurts like hell for the person that you love to treat you like this. It hurts like hell. I did the same thing, I posted my information on myspace and everyone turned on me for it, and I lost everything. I went from living a fab life to scraping to make ends meet. This April will make 3 years that I have struggled to peace my life back together. I feel sorry for this writer because not only is he hurt emotionally, everyone in his life will turn on him by the time this is all over, and Ovie’s Lawyers will make sure to crush him financially.
