Amerie: Dear John
Looks as though Amerie has another song that leaked to the ‘net. Not 100% sure on how I feel about it. I’ve listened 4 times already and it still doesn’t hold a candle to ANYTHING that she did on All I Have. It seems that once she released “Touch,” any subsequent material that she released sounded just like it. Nonetheless, I respect her effort.
What do you guys think?

Hmm im sorta kinda on the fence with this song, it may take time to grow on me as well…her first album was the TRUTH!! Still replaying it, to see if I can “ride” with it.

Well I’m probably going against the fray – but I never did like her. Her voice grates my nerves like, so bad. ‘One Thing’ was okay to me but after that..nuh uh.
Now Tamia? That child can sang her natural ass off. I so wish she’d come back out with something!

0-M-G. I loved every track on “All I Have” it seems like Amerie was more Neo-Soul when she dropped. Now she’s all high-pitch, popish with it. Not feelin the “Dear John” track too much. Musiq Soulchild has the same song on his album called “Dear John”, it sounds very similar to this one, but being Musiq he OWNED that track and DELIVERED. Amerie ::sigh:: lets just got back to 2002-ish when she could do no wrong. LOL.

Hmm…can’t really say yay or nay yet. It’s deff not amazing or anything..but it’s not doo doo either. I like Amerie alot actually. I want to hear more from her.
