It looks like the producers of American Idol are attempting to paint a kinder, less-diva-like portrait of new judge, Nicki Minaj.

The Super Bass rapper is featured in the show’s latest promo, and surprisingly, all we see is 30-seconds of her encouragement and fakeness sweetness towards the contestants.

The new season officially debuts January 16, and I may tune in just to see how they edit and try to spin all of the drama that Nicki has brought to the show. Will you guys be watching?
