Over the years, I’ve had somewhat of a love/hate relationship with 50 Cent. While I’ve always felt that his raps were really ABC-123, I still found myself droppin’ it low and raisin’ the roof whenever one of his tracks came on the radio. Blame my inner hoorat. I guess that’s all you need to be successful.

Nonetheless, the rap bully appeared on Oprah’s Next Chapter last night where he talked openly about his past (including his mother), why he decided to be Oprah’s enemy (I felt if I couldn’t be your friend, I would at least be your enemy so we could coexist.), and what he hopes to leave as a part of his legacy. He even talked about naming his dog Oprah.

I have to tip my hat to Mother O; she managed to make someone ‘hated’ by so many seem like an extremely likable person. 50 Cent is actually an intelligent man, and I’m glad that we got the opportunity see this side of him.
