DiddyJustin 500x332 Open Discussion: Should Diddys Son Be the Recipient of a Scholarship?

Diddy’s oldest son, Justin, recently graduated high school and received a $54k football scholarship from UCLA, causing an uproar in various online communities.

Many argue that since it’s a merit based scholarship (rather than need based), he’s 100% deserving since he earned it. On the flipside, others argue that since he comes from a privileged life, merit or not, there’s someone way more deserving out there.

UCLA took some time to defend their decision.

Athletic scholarships, such as those awarded to football or basketball players, do not rely on state funds. Instead, these scholarships are entirely funded through UCLA Athletics ticket sales, corporate partnerships, media contracts and private donations from supporters. [SOURCE]

After the break, check out what some folks on Twitter had to say and post your thoughts!

Should Justin be allowed to receive scholarships even though he comes from an extremely wealthy family?
