Maybe I just need to hear the full version to actually appreciate this diss…but until then, I just can't with Kim. It's too late for this… Nicki is not going to even respond to this because she said all she had to say (in order to sell her album) and when she accomplishes that, its gonna be done. I actually didn't think Pink Friday was as bad as everyone is saying. I guess some people went in to her album expecting to hear "Roman's Revenge" and her verse from Monster on every track but it was pretty solid… I'm not gonna lie though, the singing became a little monotonous, like there was no change in her vocals at all (same runs and everything). Minus the image, I don't see anything Lil Kim about Nicki. Nicki is more pop or hip pop if anything and Lil Kim is straight rap. I don't know why people are even calling Nicki an emcee, since she's far from it.

The differance between Nikki and Lil Kim is that Nicki is popular and in the charts atm.
That does NOT make her better. That means that she makes crossover music , you can't be the Queen of Hiphop if the music you make only sells when you're featuring on someone elses track and you're making music that is NOT hiphop. That doesn't make any sense.
You also can't be the Queen of Hiphop when you're main audience is teens.
I also don't think Minaj can be the Queen of anything because as everyone else says- she's a gimmick. The voices, the hair, the make up and the outfits is all for show. When we first started hearing about her that was NOT her style at all and she could be taken more seriously as a real artist, then she started doing the pink hair thing and got her body altered, claiming she was Bi and then Boys wanted to be with her and Girls wanted to be like her.

Drama and musical beef can add excitement to the industry but I'm kind of with you. Not to get too "deep" but there are more issues out there that two voices like these can address. There is room for other types of tracks though. Its like Candy and medicine..room for both types.I used to be on the "real music" wagon..and still am to a degree. But once you start seeing the current mainstream music industry as an extension of the entertainment world(like movies and wrestling), you'll take it all in perspective.
Back to the "beef" Eventually, they'll link up. I just a kick out of folks hopping on to the respective "teams". Thats devotion. I'm from BK and grew up in the 80s-90s era so you know I got love for Lil Kim. But at the same time you can't anything away from Nicki, she's been a hot artist. The beat was lame WHAT c'mon she used the same beat Pharoahe Monch used on the track Simon Says … Get the F** up and that was a classic. As far as clever lines she went hard on the whole track its not about one/ two punch lines Young Money seemed to patented she threw 1/2 of them in the song just to mock it. I know you wont agree with my opinion but c'mon she killed it, I do agree though DJ interruptions suck but its not her fault they do that to all the exclusive songs as in the DJs who promote it.
