Oh, Amerie! If she would go back to the original formula that she had with All I Have, I think that she would do great and not sound so generic. Sometimes, I get the impression that she’s trying to be the artist that she’s not. Hasn’t she heard of if it ain’t broke, don’t touch that sh*t with your touchy a*s? Don’t get me wrong…I truly love Amerie (and I actually don’t HATE this song) but I want SOLID material from her. Feel me?

It’s a shame. She clearly has SOME talent, and she DEFINITELY has the look, but her last few albums weren’t produced by the same cat that did the first, and she’s struggling to match that sound without him.

I like it. She needs to just sell out and go mainstream for a while until she can write her own ticket.
